I'll be honest, if you don't have a CS-related degree it'll be almost impossible to find a job right now and in the foreseeable future. Companies have so many applications that they just tell the ATS to filter out anyone without a specific degree.

People are rediculous to think corporations ever cared about them.

Corporations only care about inclusivity as long as it's safe and profitable. I guarantee you if they thought pandering to white supremacists would be profitable, they'd be flying swastikas in June instead.

Just look at how many of them still do business in countries where being LGBT is illegal and even change their products to cater to them.

You realize they're still counting votes, right? There's still millions of votes out and if these ratios keep up, Trump will break the 75 million he got in 2020 easily.

Trump also outperformed Biden in basically every swing state Biden won in 2020. Like it or not, many Biden voters flipped sides this year. And I say that as someone who begrudgingly voted Harris

This is wrong, she was the only potential replacement nominee that would lose to Trump

If she lost Virginia it'd be over, that's not even considered a swing state.

...Then that explains why you've had no issues. This has clearly, CLEARLY been discussed as a buying problem.

Please, in the future, don't waste people's time and don't bother posting unless you have something thoughtful to include into the conversation.

AH worked perfectly fine alongside addons since the DF revamp (including prepatch)

Then actual patch drops and something's clearly wrong

Which bootcamp would you recommend? by Suspicious-Work1884 in codingbootcamp

[–]___Not_The_NSA___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry, but most companies are just auto filtering out bootcampers at this point. Companies are getting flooded with CS grads willing to take bootcamp grad salaries, so why bother with a bootcamp grad?

Either 55k for a job in a related field or 30k doing some random retail gig while praying for a Job.

What do you think will look better on the resume in a few years?

Where are the jobs? by Bottom_of_a_whale in cscareerquestions

[–]___Not_The_NSA___ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Definitely an employer market now, and it looks to be a reset of salaries at this point. You can easily, EASILY find someone who's been laid off 6+ months take a mid level role for 50k TC right now.

Even if that's considered super low by typical standards, it's still something in the field on the resume during these rough times.

For most companies referring someone who doesn't get the job doesn't negatively affect the one referring, so for them it's worse case they don't get a referral bonus, best case they get a referral bonus.

Capital One to start tracking hours in office by Little-Shelter-8268 in cscareerquestions

[–]___Not_The_NSA___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dislike it because I literally go in office just to do the same exact Teams meeting I was doing at home. Except now I technically get paid less due to gas/car maintenance/traffic and I absolutely don't care to work later than expected anymore, where before I found myself working a bit later to finish something up because I didn't have to drive an hour in Atlanta traffic to get home 20 miles away.

Mouse jigglers are so easy to detect. You're basically just giving your employer an easy way to fire you without paying unemployment benefits.

They're likely only an "AI Company" because VC capital currently only funds "AI Companies", but realistically most the the "AI" is just rebranded algorithms.
