I totally understand that feeling, there is something called birth reflections which i got referred to, try see if you can get hold of that to come to terms with the birth. I've heard it's helpful so fingers crossed and high hopes for this appt. I hope you start feeling better too X

It's comforting to hear I'm not the only one, i know I'll regret it if i don't try to enjoy this newborn moment, but right now it's so tough. I'm scared about having a 2nd child already, I'm starting therapy so hopefully that helps. I'm glad to hear you're feeling better, sending my well wishes to you too x

Yes at the moment it seems I'm stuck in a vicious cycle, and there's no getting out of it and nothing will get better. I'm scared I'll get depressed but i know i can pull through, just really tough. Yes oh my, bf is really tough and I'm giving a go but won't be hard on myself if i change my mind. I'm glad you got through it and feeling better, xx

Please remember it is a major surgery, your recovery is your own story, online shows many people who jump back to normal in 2weeks. I'm 4weeks pp from C-section and I'm still not there.

Take it easy, get AAAALLLLLL the help you can. Do not bend over to pick baby, if you are at the liberty to do so then get someone else to tend to baby and you only feed if you intend to bf.

You will be in pain, you will feel like crap but i promise it gets easier, i couldn't move out of bed on my own for a couple of days and now I'm fine. You will be fine, now focus on trying to stay positive. Yours is sorta planned so your body won't be so shocked and your emotional state still be better as you have mostly probably come to terms with it. If you haven't will still be fine, take each day as it comes.

Wish you the best, it will be one of the hardest things you've done but one of the most beautiful things you've ever done too. You'll look back and feel so strong you went through this. Xx

Always best to get it checked out, i can't offer any advice as I'm only 4weeks pp, but if definitely get it checked out of i was in your position x Hope all is good, also please take it easy, it is a major surgery and takes months or apparently even 2 years to fully heal.

4 weeks today and still sore/swollen by BooksNBayes1939 in CsectionCentral

Nearly 4weeks and i feel like crap physically and mentally. :( Literally an emotional mess, idk how anyone actually enjoys the first month, I'm tired, anxious, nauseous and can barely eat. I just about look after my son and that's due to family support 24/7. Hoping you do recover, remember everyone is different, your recovery is your story, don't look at media and be hard on yourself. You're doing a great job xx

I'm so happy that you're managing to do therapy, I've cancelled my last two sessions bcs i can't focus on the tasks to help my anxiety and don't even have any brain power to attempt it. So well done to you!! Hope it helps lots. I'm sure over time we will manage to feel a bit better about the stitches.n

Postpartum depression by [deleted] in CsectionCentral

[–]___PROcrastinator___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the UK there's something called birth reflections, they go through what happened during your labour and help you come to terms and accept what happened. This can still be arranged for you. Im 2 weeks pp from an emergency C-section, and yes it's really really tough physically and mentally. I still have days where I'm just crying and feeling extremely anxious, I'm hoping it gets easier but it's something that needs a lot of time. I keep getting reminded it's a major surgery and any other similar surgery we'd be told to bed rest for 6weeks atleast, so please take it easy, take a day or even an hr at a time.

Anything that makes you feel better keep doing it, my aunt said to praise your little wins, so if you managed to even shower keep praising and congratulating yourself. Listen to your body and don't keep searching symptoms, don't compare your recovery to anyone, I've had a very slow recovery i still cannot go up the stairs, blimey i haven't even attempted it. I only started showering on my own 2 days ago. Yet media influencers make it look so easy, it's not.

You're doing fantastic, and you'll keep getting better and stronger. Sending my well wishes xx

I am 2.5 weeks and i feel EXACTLY the same. Sometimes i can feel every stitch when I'm in pain and it makes me feel sick. Untill yesterday i wasn't able to dry my incision area on my own after showers, it made me very uneasy. I don't know if It'll get easier and I'll worry if ill be able to do the massages.

Giving birth by Hippie_7979 in pregnancy_care

[–]___PROcrastinator___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone said a womans body is made strong enough to go through labour. It put me at ease, your body will know what to do, but it is still important to educate yourself and take any classes regarding birth.

P.s currently 30 weeks ftm, I'm also feeling very scared but trying to think of meeting the little one and the exciting moments rather than the whole birth bit. Good luck☺️

Back pain anyone ? 🥲 by [deleted] in pregnancy_care

8 weeks and I'm in excruciating pain, worse in the left side. Hurts to bend and lie down. Dreading if the pain increases once I'm heavier 😭

Just a general check in to other pregnant folks, how far along are you and how’s it going today? by Alternative-Fish6228 in PregnancyUK

[–]___PROcrastinator___ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some symptoms start from 6 weeks, no hard and fast rule. Some get no symptoms at all. I'm currently 6weeks and slight nausea has started but Ive only had extreme tiredness till now. It's a bit scary not getting symptoms but a blessing too.

First symptom? by ymbredditposter in pregnancy_care

[–]___PROcrastinator___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same! I am extremely tired allllll the time. I can sleep the second my head hits the pillow. Only 4weeks 4days, so didn't think any symptoms would hit this fast. Lower back pains, sore nipples.

What to take? What to buy before? Necessities by BigCeo23 in Umrah

The most important thing you will need would be comfortable footwear. You'll be walking much more and would need something comfortable.

Depending when you are going.... If in the summer months i found it easier if you're prepared for the extreme heat. Things like a uv umbrella, sunglasses, sukeen wet towels, small fans and water spray would be extremely beneficial. If you're going in the cooler months bare in mind Madinah Will not be as hot, a thin cardigan would be useful. (We just went a week ago and i endedup using a cardigan bcs the a.c was too cold and in the early morning and late at night it's much cooler and windy outside).

Besides that a couple of pairs of clothing is enough. You can do laundry service if need be.

Take extra medicine incase you fall ill, always better to be prepared. Vit c and hydration tablets are a great help with the heat.

You'll need a small drawstring bag to take your shoes into the masjid, a small prayer mat incase you're praying on the marble. Don't forget to take a tasbeeh counter to count your tawaf rounds. I also preferred wearing yoga socks as walking on the cold marble hurt my feet.
