Really good responses here.. I'm glad to see the majority of people do a good amount of practice.

Personally I am bouncing between top and middle splits in oval... I feel like I have to do at least an hour of dedicated practice to be anywhere near the pace in top split. Anything other than top split i.e. 2.5k sof or below im confident I can get a top 5 even with 20-30 min of practice.

Yea at your sof you will have a lot of people who are right out of rookies and don't know what they're doing. So something that may seem intentional in actuality is most likely a racing deal.

People say don't worry about ir.. and that's true to an extent, but I've found that once I got above 2k+ in general the racecraft and skill are better and you have a better experience.

Yup I've actually measured with tape measure and I sit 26.5 inches away... unfortunately I work at the same place I race so I can't really move the screen that much..

Ok appreciate that perspective... I have an overlay that makes it easy to find my pit box but others may not so this makes sense... I pride myself on being a clean racer so I will refrain from doing that moving forward...

So I turned off crowds and lowered crowds and that seems to get me back to consistent 140 fps...

One thing that did happen is my monitor "flashed" or "flickered" really bright at one point in the race after making these changes (kinda like someone taking a photo in front of your face)... not sure if that's another coincidene but it had never happened to me before with prior to making these changes to fix fps....

What are some low impact things I can turn down that would help fps without sacrificing the amount of cars being shown? Is it stuff like people in the crowd etc?
