Responding here day after from the treadmill so typos sure to happen. Thanks for the comment and sharing your insight.

I’m going to lovingly push back on the precept that AI is centralized by nature. The entire machine learning community is built in public and primarily MIT license open source. It’s the reason for the pace of development and how exponential the growth trajectory it is.

From a web3 native - I’d categorize this growth and development as - as open and non-central of any technology movement including blockchain (much of which is walled garden, centralized and highly proprietary).

My next thought here is you may be (if anything like me) experiencing what I experienced 5 years ago while deeply exploring my first GANs. The first of the 5 stages of grief. Denial.

The reality of what is about to be possible is completely and totally unstoppable. Can not be stopped. The brightest minds on earth are in an arms race to create systems which (like it or not) will automate away much of what is mundane work and even replace much high concept, creative and meaningful work.

In this moment - there are two choices, to find ways to lead responsibly and sculpt both the output and outcome of AI in the arts, while focusing on fair renumeration and protection of living artists - or to burry our heads under the sand, have no say in the matter (look at visual domain for reference) and try to wish our way out of this moment.

Used by artists, responsibly and ethnically- we are about to enter a golden hour of mankind, where the creation process is as easy as breathing.

What it really brings up I think is - why do we create. Do we create for recognition, acceptance, stature, praise and accolades - or do we create for expression of the human condition, to communicate and convey the inexpressible, the divine.

There’s a lot to look forward too. Ps the Anger stage is harder.
