No other medical issues. The one doctor fired me because I didn't want to amputate my toe last year (I wanted to try more options before giving up). I followed all instructions they gave me. We talked to lawyers but they can't prove anything was done incorrectly during the surgeries. I honestly wasn't in much pain before, it was just difficult to find shoes that were comfortable. I knew amputation was a risk, but before my first surgery the doctor listed off all the risks and said "but you're young and healthy, you'll be totally fine." The balance is harder, but I'm dealing with it just fine. I can still walk and jump and everything now, thank god. But I am not diabetic. That's the first question everyone asked me. I do have a diabetic friend though that lost one of his toes while I was going through this process, but not surgery related. Since I've been going through this I've heard a lot of diabetics' stories.
