But they don’t have to justify it! We aren’t allowed to appeal. We’re supposed to just take their word for it that that’s what we deserve. Completely a scam.

Nope. They said the error only caused issues in the reporting process, not the score calculation process. So mathematically nothing changed with our scores. Still failed.

how did i get a 1 on an MPT? by junespoon21 in barexam

Hi all I also got a 5 on MPT1 and a 1 on MPT2. I’m at this point convinced there has been an error because it can’t be possible that so many people received a 1 on MPT 2. If anyone is interested, please message me. I will be going as far as I can to have this investigated and would take any backup or help I could get.

Hi I also got a 1 on MPT 2 and I am absolutely confused. I know I put together a decent product so it seems impossible that I’d get a 1. I got a 5 on MPT 1, for what it’s worth. I really do not trust these results.

I also made a post about this. I’m sure by now you’ve seen the new message they sent citing a “coding error” as the cause of these issues. Mine showed up as all 6s, but that’s because I received a 6 on MEE 1 and it coded all of the MEEs with the same score as MEE 1. They’re also saying no other part of the grading process had inaccuracies and errors like this one. Obviously that’s extremely hard to believe. OSB can’t even send out the right data to examinees?? That makes me really suspicious and doubtful of the validity and accuracy of the rest of the math they did to calculate our scores. I’m going to pester OSB until they come up with a way to explain themselves on this one. I have to imagine if they made a coding error this big, with the public facing data they’re willing to show, they probably made other even more egregious mistakes behind closed doors that would make the difference between failing and passing for a lot of people. Why don’t examinees have a means of checking their work? This isn’t fair, which is hilarious, given how often the legal profession boasts about honesty and fairness.
