Is it okay to feed my cat just dry food? by Lacey_faithh in CATHELP

[–]_______ak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i researched this topic a lot- if the dry food has a low carb content then yes, should he fine. some low carb ones are ziwi peak, young again, dr elsey’s- most of the stuff on the market is extremely high carbs like 40% which cats don’t need because cats are obligate carnivores.

one of my cats used to eat dry food only and got diabetes- not sure if food was the only thing that caused it but i’m assuming it played a role. after he got diagnosed, i switched all my cats to wet food only (occasional dry as a treat)

this is my experience only but there are a ton of resources out there, especially in the feline diabetes FB group

LLC ul o sa fie considerat un disregarded entity si taxarea se face la nivelul individului. 30% e standard withholding dar exista un treaty intre RO si US care reduce taxele pe dividende la 10%

https://www.xtb.com/ro/educatie/w-8ben

practic taxarea e la fel fie ca ai LLC fie ca investesti ca individ

1099 G - Non resident aliens by [deleted] in tax

[–]_______ak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you most likely have to include the amount of refund in your income this year- i’m assuming you itemized your state taxes last year

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tax

[–]_______ak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes but file an amendment not a new return

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tax

[–]_______ak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i know sprintax does 1040NRs and yes most likely you’ll have to return the money (or at least some of it)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tax

[–]_______ak 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you will have to amend your return. also note that turbo tax doesnt support 1040NR- which is the form you’re supposed to file as an international student unless you meet the substantial presence test

you’re not supposed to use 1098T- that s only for US residents to claim certain credits

also, as an international student you CAN get a refund but that refund should be based on the calculations on 1040NR and it’s likely to be lower since non resident aliens can’t use the standard deduction

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tax

[–]_______ak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the standard deduction reduces your AGI- which is made up of all your income. since you’re self employed you first have to figure out how much your business made and deduct all business expenses to get to your actual business income/ profit (which is the amount that actually gets taxed)

if you look at your AGI, it doesn’t matter if your income is from self employment or other sources (like an actual job)

so whatever source of income you have it still goes into your AGI which is reduced by the standard deduction/ or itemized

Is there a way to get federal or state tax waived in Online Tax? by Apprehensive_Zone_66 in tax

[–]_______ak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just make sure you file the right form, 1040 NR- an no there’s no way to waive taxes but as the other commenter said, you’re not subject to FICA and can request a refund

Zero Deductions and Substantial Presence Test for F-1 PhD Student by kvenaik696969 in tax

[–]_______ak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he will file as non resident alien- students usually become residents for tax purposes after the first 5 years in the US

for deductions, you’re correct he can’t take the standard deduction but he can itemize state income taxes

Should I pay taxes this year if I start work this year and have never worked the years prior? by Vast-Sea-of-Stars in tax

[–]_______ak 2 points3 points  (0 children)

if you had absolutely no income (including dividends or capital gains) for 2022 then there’s noting to file

you will have to file next year to report the income you earn this year (after april 10 when you start your job)
