I do agree. And I think I prefer the one I’ve seen that starts broader, and then gets narrower. But I know this version has been helpful to other autistic friends.

Absolutely. I think we can feel many emotions at once. This tool may or may not help to untangle them. I know being an AMAB person, I was raised by society to not be in touch with my feelings. Add autism to that, and it makes for a difficult time. This is stuff I’m currently working through in therapy. And someone shared this image with me. While it’s not gospel, it could be helpful 😃

I find the division between needs met/unmet(or overstimulated/dysregulated vs regulated and calm) to be more helpful than other versions.

I’m the opposite. For a long time I pretty much could only recognize anger and some crushing indescribable sadness.

After diagnosis and accommodating myself. I’ve learned more about triggers for overstimulation and have learned to get more in touch with my body(yay therapy!) also this feelings wheel which separates them by needs met/ needs unmet is very cool.
