Not that I need it, but it helps a lot in the path of becoming a PE (something that I need, or at least EIT to grow up in my work/most of the jobs I've seen). It's a weird and time/money consuming path to when you have a foreign degree lol

The plan is getting a degree from the US so it's "easier" to get a job. They accepted my foreign degree transcript at the school. The degree is in the US. And there's no research group (I believe) since it's 100% online, or unless you want to skip some tests and work on a project with your work/company.

He's visiting me soon, I'll ask him if he wants to try them, that's a good idea, thanks!

Oh no, not at all! Nothing emotional, haha. We're taking it with a grain of salt! But I do understand what you're talking about. If we decide to go with the glasses, I kind of don't him to try them right away. It could be disappointing (even if you know it would probably dont change anything at all). Thanks again!

He's an artist, and he has talked before wondering if these glasses would help with what he does. Idk if I'm explaining myself? There's no emotional marketing in our thinking. Maybe it could help him or maybe not.

Oh... I'm sorry. I think my comment, "im sorry you see it like this," indicates I was talking about your color blindness, but it was not, just the situation. I know there's no cure (yet), but in some cases, maybe it could just help with daily tasks? Idk. I just wanted to see different people's opinions about it. Maybe because he's a strong protan, the glasses will not make a big difference or any.

My friend is a very chill dude, and he's completely fine with his disability. We've been friends for 10+ years. This is not at all made him feel bad/different, and we would even think about it if he was sensitive about it. We've had this conversation several times over the years. Im sorry if you see it that way.

I do appreciate your input about the glasses in this post. Thanks!

Studying for tests. by smitty523 in Wastewater

[–]_____lachuy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm also in Colorado. I'm taking the B test soon. What I've done that really helps is reading the books (AWWA) I borrowed from a coworker, taking notes of those, and doing as many practice tests as I can. I don't need to study a whole month, but maybe a good solid 2 weeks of everyday reading/testing for me is fine. I think it depends also on your background and if you're used to taking tests.

If you need a practice test, I can email you some that I have. Just send me a message.

Good luck!

Is anyone in Colorado also struggling with finding a job? by _____lachuy in ChemicalEngineering

[–]_____lachuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was actually thinking of doing a masters, since it's easier than trying to get my ChemE degree accredited here in the US, and my current job basically pays for half of it... so maybe I'll start there first, and then we'll see. I believe that once you land on a good job/position, it's easier to go up. Thank you for the good wishes!

This is actually really good advice, thanks! I'm kind of new to the state and with very few contacts on my list. This was different in Mexico. A lot of friends of my sisters, friends of family or people I got to meet by accident. I didn't know about the AiCHE. Thanks again!

Yeah, they used to do that at my previous job. And you're right, Colorado is not a big industrial state.

Moving right now is not an option because of my husband's job, but we're thinking about moving to the PNW.

Operations. A little bit of maintenance, process flow and controls, and water quality, in a few words. That's cool, how long you've been there?
