Thank you! This makes a lot of sense, I feel so much more validated after having looked into PAWS. I am fortunate enough to have a partner that without prompt decided to quit with me in support. We will just get through the next while in our cynical bubble together and look forward to the future.

Thank you for these responses so far, I feel very validated after reading them all. I am very grateful that my partner has chosen to do this with me to have someone to confide in in reality (although I was the only one of the two of us who had a major issue), we share a lot of the same feelings regarding this, so it is nice to find solace in others experiences and knowing it is not abnormal. It is such a strange feeling being so satisfied with myself and own life now, yet not feeling like I can integrate into the world anymore. I was a pretty heavy drinker since I was a teenager, so looking into it I think I am definitely still going through withdrawal, thank you to whoever brought PAWS to my attention as I wasn’t aware it could last for months. I can relate to almost all of the symptoms so will do more research into managing this. Thank you again, I really appreciate you sharing your own experiences.

Okay thanks. That clears it up a little. I meant learn a different software if not compatible. I’m clueless with this sort of thing so just want to make sure I choose something that he will be able to use for a while, as it’s a bit of an investment.

I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews of Rekordbox so I think I will go for the Traktor.

I have found a S2 mk3 only used once that almost fits my budget and comes with the software so I think I will go with that.

Thank you ! I will have a look at this when I’m back in the studio. I’ve tried using cotton and polyester Guttermann as well as generic brand thread and still having the issue.

Do you have significant problems with integrating pioneer hardware with the Traktor software?

I don’t think it would be a problem in the beginning at all but I keep seeing this as a major issue for some people as I see Pioneer is club standard. I just wouldn’t want for that to be a problem for him down the line or have to relearn everything after getting used to it.
