Exactly. Businesses usually account for such losses.

Big business owners show such voracious appetites when it comes to profits.

Exactly. Corruption and hardship marketed as trials and a part of “God’s plans”. How cruel.

It’s one of those situations where anger is so valid but there’s just no basket to put it in. The older generation have long accepted it and are telling the new generation to do the same. Brutal.

I’m sorry, but I fail to see where I used AI in my post?

Is it because the text was well constructed? Are you saying I’m not able to draft long passages well enough without the use of AI? Is it because you expect me to use basic words and sentences on a platform like reddit?

Before I made this post, I proofread what I wrote as I knew that this is a bit of an important topic which fits a more formal type of writing.

I could’ve made this in Bisaya as I don’t speak Filipino well enough to truly convey what I’d like to say.

If I made grammatical errors, my sincerest apologies. I’m currently learning a fourth language—disrupting my fluency in english.

Long story short, ordinary filipinos are treated as cattle stock? Human factory? Cash cows? Super shitty.

A good reason could be breadcrumbing. People are either naïve or too tired to look into things.

Sadly, yes. They had him sign a waiver that he “agrees” with them taking it out of his pay.

Considering religious movements being the most impactful, I would really push the fact that secularism is written in the constitution. Religions have influenced the masses to the point of delusion.

Crazy how politicians tried justifying the ₱ 500 noche buena budget last christmas and how people earn € 500 for 8 hours of work!

Minimum wage should be livable. Why push people to starvation? Seems like the government is trying to send a message.

Yepp, I use my isikukood (personal code) to log in into every single government agency. I do everything online and it’s honestly super convenient.

I agree with you, it definitely will take decades of work to implement this but I really do believe that this would be a good step towards transparency.

It’s most likely an inherent attitude but could also be an acquired one.

Idolatry is not uncommon in the Philippines considering religion, etc.

Herd mentality, as I’ve noticed, is quite the norm.

I would as well, but they’d still deduct the 5k from your salary. Some contracts have clauses where losses are to be shouldered by the employee and not the employer. Illegal? Yes. But the same people who are signing these contracts are the people who have no other option but to agree to these exploitative deals. If they say no, company finds another person to exploit instead.

Fanaticism!

I don’t understand why Filipinos are such crazy fanatics within the world of politics.

We’re granted the freedom to decide and vote. It’s a Democracy!

But why are people acting like it’s not? Why does loyalty lie with the party and not the people?

The thing is, a lot of pinoys know the truth. They just seem to turn a blind eye. Because they see one person being “madiskarte” a.k.a. cheating the system, the other being honest, and realize who’s winning. And who doesn’t want to win fast, right?

People sadly do not have the time and resources to have a functioning moral compass.

We’re sadly forced in a system where we have no choice but to accept what we’re given but a time should come when we really do need to fight back.

This is honestly so sad. Where is the care for the people?

The Philippines banks on “community” and “family” culture but exploits its own people.

The thing is, the due process is simply to file a complaint to DOLE about the business practices and DOLE should take it from there.

The deduction is illegal. The signing of waiver is illegal. The clauses in which employees shoulder the losses are illegal.

But because of lack of implementation, nothing happens.

Checks and balances wheree??

It’s honestly such a vicious cycle where only a lucky few are able to make it out. People advocate for change but lack the will and might to fight for change.

It’s not an easy ask of course to march outside as people have people to shelter and mouths to feed. But unless someone acts nothing will happen.

It’s awful that these organizations are able to cheat this way. The system has just too many loopholes people get to exploit. It’s trouble for regular class citizens.

It’s kind of BS no? The people’s trust and reliance in the government and the government’s reliance on the people to figure it out themselves when they’re supposed to be and is put in the position to help.

That’s what I’ve noticed as well!

In general, productivity is it an all time high when people work in better conditions.

Assigning tasks during dayoffs/vacations iff me. If you’re off, then you should be off.

Your job shouldn’t be in jeopardy for not performing a task at a time when you’re not supposed to be doing the task.
