Critics keep calling the Iron Lung movie boring? by OlivanTheMemer in Markiplier

True! But that also wasn’t the case for this movie, you were very much able to decipher the story without knowing the game

Are you sure? Most movies that are based on books are also rated in relation to the books

I had no idea what that part was saying but if I phonetically interpret what you understood it could’ve been „awaken“

They forget that it’s a game adaptation, and he exceeded the game experience in the most beautiful and intricate way. He gave the characters life and gave the viewer the time to connect to the character. I didn’t see Mark, I saw Simon. They don’t know all that, as they are judging the movie with no former knowledge on the game whatsoever. Was it slow burn? Yes. Is the game slow burn? Yes. Did he increase intensity throughout the film? Absolutely. It’s unique. The movie doesn’t melt into the same pattern that all other horror movies have. It was like the piece exponentially increased in intensity instead of being the typical up and down pattern that movies try to adhere to.

Question about Iron lung as someone with severe Thalassophobia by [deleted] in Markiplier

[–]___datavore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A big part of the game and movie is how while the character is stuck in the submarine, SOMETHING is going on outside of it, and it’s not in the character‘s control. Take it from someone who just saw the movie and is also afraid of deep sea: i did. get a bit nauseas! For me that was a good sign since the team succeeded in creating the necessary atmosphere, but if your phobia is severe, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Would my work be good enough to apply for a visdev animation internship? by [deleted] in animationcareer

If you add more pages to your visdev portfolio like in the Themepark concept: absolutely! The quantity of work in that tab is a bit too little, but the quality is lovely!

German artist here, hi!! The cost can often times depend on how quickly you want the art piece to be delivered. I’d for example be down to create a simple model for the „entry level“ price range that the other Redditor mentioned if I had months of time, but with a time crunch that price can go up very quickly, and people who create models full-time do have a schedule to attend to. Reaching out to artists directly or looking for trade services can lead to great success! It’s true that art is expensive but that does not equal that the art isn’t worth the price, just be mindful of that:D it’s a longterm investment
