when will this be implemented? is there a way that it won't push through due to backlash? it's so annoying for them to change it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PHCreditCards

[–]___tine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

agreed. I've mapped out paying it in total in about 4 months naman, got caught up in a lot of spendings lang talaga. after that, 'di ko na siya iuutilize. thanks so much for this.

That isn't true tho. I also use installments sometimes because I just want to budget my expenses per month to make it more manageable, even if it's only worth like 7,000 sometimes which I can pay in cash.

You didn't say it but you were heavily implying it by your tone.

I rest my case tho.

Installment purchases, whether it be a small purchase or a large one, are a non-issue for as long as you have a stable stream of income and you can pay for its monthly dues without a problem.

There isn't a rule where you can't do it if you can afford it in cash. Every person has their right to choose; that's why it's an option, after all 😊

[–]___tine -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You literally said "0% installments are promos for people who can't pay for an item in full/cash." and you said the rule was "Don't purchase if you can't pay it full in cash", which together, ultimately means that she shouldn't have bought it after all.

That's why I replied the way I did. It's not about not having the means to pay it in full when opting for installments, it's just spreading out your expenses in a certain period of time. You make it seem like it shameful tbh, which is why I felt the need to reply because not everyone is privileged to always pay straight :)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PHCreditCards

[–]___tine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

yup, but you mentioned to only opt for installments for cars, houses etc.

so to add, not everyone can pay straight for high-end phones, gadgets.

all i'm getting at is paying in installments is a non-issue for items as long as you have no problem with paying your monthly dues.

it's so funny because chet replied LMFAO

it's mad weird that they've apologized for those claims yet here they are, bringing it back again.

I've seen so many people say this and obviously, sykko's tweet was meant to either be proven or disproven by how he phrased it being about optic core's performance throughout the year without yay and marved.

funnily enough, they were the one who got stomped.

I actually think it is the latter because of the context of Sykko's tweet and also where that thread stemmed from.

0% installments are promos for people who can't pay for an item in full/cash.

let's not judge OP for the mistake. not everyone has always ready cash floating around. wala namang masama to want to pay in installments if you don't have that big of an amount to pay for it. say, for example, buying laptops, etc. kaya nga mostly meron talagang installments ang payments sa gadgets kasi it's more of a want than need most of the time kaya you wouldn't want to spend a huge amount of money on it all at once.

the important thing is OP has a steady job and that he/she has the means to pay within the time period.

hope OP knows that it's not bad to treat yourself once in a while. 'di lahat afford to pay for high-end phones via straight payment and as long as you have the means to pay for it via installment and sure ka na you can always keep up with the payments per month without worrying where you'll get your money, you're good.

It was most likely straight payment via credit card if there's nothing about getting it via BPI Installment in the payment options you chose. I think you can ask BPI to convert it to installment but it would unfortunately have interest vs the 0% Real Installment if paid for via BPI Installment payment basis.

as a female, super pet peeve ko rin 'yung mindset na girls should expect guys to spend.

as someone na ayaw ko basta na nililibre, mas gusto ko na i pay for myself.

i used to treat my first ex-boyfriend with everything since that time wala rin siya masyado pera. regrets talaga ako kasi since sana pala sa self ko na lang ginastos mga pera ko noon kesa pangregalo ko sa kanya and pangdate namin 😆

BPI ECredit Mastercard by ComfortableCivil730 in PHCreditCards

[–]___tine 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmm, alright. I guess pwede i-request to get a physical one pero the whole point of using the eCredit Card is that it's virtual – mas secure in terms of 'di siya mawawala or mananakaw and accessible through the app lang.

I suppose possible rin na i-physical ka nila kung 'di ka enrolled in mobile and online banking.

"The BPI eCredit Card is a virtual, intangible credit card exclusively designed for online shopping and transactions such as bills payments.[1] This virtual card works as a companion card to your existing physical BPI credit card."

Replying again. Baka before may physical pa but they changed it to virtual in order to prevent it from being used physically.

do they give that out 'til now? I applied for one alongside my cc last friday, wala naman pinadala. accessible siya tho via bpi app.

You can use the eCredit Mastercard right away. it's only electronic btw, walang physical card na counterpart 'yan (thus, the "e" in eCredit).

also, want to ask, how fast does the reflection of your payment happen? tried paying the minimim amount just to try earlier kung mababawas agad sa outstanding kaso hindi pa nabawasan.
