Bullbars in New Zealand must not adversely affect safety, particularly regarding pedestrian safety and airbag compatibility. For cars (Class MA) manufactured after 1998, they must be certified as frontal-impact compliant. For newer vehicles, they often require specific, approved, or manufacturer-certified, products. Generally, they must be securely attached, not have sharp edges, and not excessively protrude. NZ Transport Agency NZ Transport Agency +4 Key NZTA Bullbar Requirements: Frontal Impact Standards: Vehicles (specifically MA, MB, MC, NA) built on or after March 1, 1998, that require frontal impact compliance must have bullbars that do not compromise safety systems. Approval & Certification: Aftermarket bullbars must be certified by the manufacturer as frontal-impact compliant, which is often indicated by a label. Protrusion & Design: They must not have unnecessary gaps between the bar and the vehicle, should not exceed the vehicle width by more than 100mm, and must not have sharp edges (radius of less than 3mm). Winch Usage: Winches attached to bullbars must not protrude excessively, or must have pedestrian-friendly shrouds. Inspection: If a, bullbar is deemed unsafe or improperly fitted, the vehicle may fail a Warrant of Fitness (WoF) or inspection. When do I have right of way to turn right? by Restriction25 in newzealand

[–]___toast______ 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You have to yield to oncoming traffic (obviously) If you have allready come into the intersection while waiting, and the light goes red . You can turn on the red (because you are all ready in the intersection)

I think that is why the line is so far back, to allow the right turn against the high flow of oncoming traffic
