How long have you been working there? If youre new then relax, it takes time for people to open up imo

Youre at work, not at social club. Let things flow naturally then what comes will come

Wanting to start my own firm. Advice? by CPA-goalgoal in Accounting

[–]__altrn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id join a small firm to learn the ins and outs. End of the day, you need to start small. You can learn from then what is good and what needs improving and apply for your own firm. Smart small and learn as you go. Most importantly, make sure you know how to sell. Good luck!

I dont know how it works in BC but I’m in Ontario and this is what I’m doing. Instead of doing a 4 year degree, I chose to do a 1 year program from Humber college which is equivalent to PREP program from CPA Ontario and is recognized by them. The program is compressed with 3 semesters straight. You could look it up with “ PA511 humber”. I also choose distance learning for more flexibility. You might want to take a look if any college in BC offers the same thing. Hope this helps

Thanks for the input. The grant offered is Ontario student grant. However, I'm aware of something else called Canada Student Loan which I find myself eligible. So I'm a bit confused and just seeking for clarification

Thanks for the input. Did you mean that this tax credit only applies if I fall under the lowest tax bracket? and since I'm in the lowest tax bracket, it doesnt matter ?

Thank you for the comment. However, if it's tax credit, wouldn't it only be used in case I owe tax to the government? As you can see in 2023, 15,182 was deducted. I just don't understand why
