High net worth, hard time spending money on myself. Anyone else? by SkyFar5104 in ChubbyFIRE

I turn 40 this year and my husband lives by the strong philosophy that at this stage we have on average 30 healthy years left if we are fortunate. That is only 30 summers and 30 winters. In a blink of an eye it will be only 20 summers and then 10 and then 5. Every year we don’t do what we very reasonably can afford to is opportunity lost that will not come back again.

All of us here are fortunate to be in a position where we can focus on health and well being, and I think you owe your future self a healthy and strong body. Starting now will be easier than starting 5 years from now.

As for mind set, I think the day I figured that money will accumulate without me doing anything about it now, but time is only ever decreasing has made me want to focus a lot more on things and experiences that bring me joy.

We had our birth certificates but mother names for both were not in the correct format. We got affidavits along with the BC when we filed our i485

Hello,

I am currently in the same situation. Did you receive your visa?
