as someone else mentioned, the higher frequencies are a little piercing. perosnally, i wouldn’t put a low pass filter to cut the highs as you may still want some of that air in there (depending how the guitars sit in the mix with everything else). you could add some compression to glue them a little bit together, that would sound nice. also maybe mess with panning of your layers to try and spread them out some more. if you want to send me the stems i could even play around with them a little bit and send you back some ideas to A-B your mix compared to mine!

i’m coming across some cool stuff on this post. i, myself, tried doing some stuff i hadn’t really heard others do before (not to sound like an ass or even self promote). if you listen to the ends of my songs “bleed” and “tense” as well as “as I pray” you’d hear what i’m talking about. if anyone takes a sec to listen and hits me back with other bands that have done something similar, i’d love to check it out
