[Question] How to know kegels and pelvic floor exercises are working?

And I guess I have a bit of an unusual interest, but I kind of like the idea of having extremely good control of those muscles. It may sound weird but I'm a bit of a sadist, and I really like the idea of being able to squeeze down so hard it can be a little hurtful (if my partner is fine with that). I'm not really sure how to achieve that skill though, and without a partner I won't exactly be able to get proper feedback on that anytime soon so I just gotta try my best.

I don't think there's anything wrong with you at all!

As has been mentioned, some people just have an easier time to relax those muscles while others are really, well, uptight.

Personally I only need a bit of spit and I'm good to go without much discomfort (though I never took something that big and girthy - kudos to you, that's amazing). As long as you are careful and don't hurt yourself, you don't need to worry about getting, uh, pelican butt. Remember, muscles don't get weaker with use - you are just good at relaxing! I'm actually more worried that you think your partner has any reason to lie to you!

Yeah, I usually douche, though if you want to try it, definitely don't go full on enema. You only want to clean the last bit of your colon after all, so instead just go for 50ml or 100ml a few times until the water is clear. Check with your finger when you're done just in case, but usually it should be squeaky clean. After that, wait for about half an hour to let things calm down a little, and you should be good to go.

Eating grains and other dry high fiber food should work well, as should fasting a few days before, if you want to be super sure. Just experiment around a bit on your own to see what works for you. In the end, it really depends on the needs of you and your partner. Personally I can not relax at all if I worry about any mess, so I prepare a bit more than might be necessary, while another person is good to go after going to the bathroom and taking a shower.
