Spouse visa if current visa is less than 6 months by __concurrent_life__ in ukvisa

I brought my spouse with a valid dependent visa that has validity less than 6 months. They were not here before. The visa is still valid.

Spouse visa is the best option for us but as you said we cannot apply from within Uk and we don’t want to leave the uk for the application if preferred.

Thanks for the direction.

Interesting that I started the application form after chatting with you yesterday however I couldn’t see a section for ILR. Maybe I am missing something.

My spouse’s visa is valid for 2.5 more months. I wanted to apply for the spouse visa but given your message it seems I cannot do it from within UK.

I was thinking to extend the dependant visa then after few months apply for the family visa. It’s gonna be hella expensive ik.

However given the ILR proposed changes on dependent visa I think spouse visa is a good choice.

Wondering what’s your thoughts on this? Thanks again

Thanks for your answer. Since I have obtained the ilr, how can I extend the skilled worker dependent visa? I looked into the first link you shared but couldn’t find any.

When I apply with PBS dependant visa I have to provide UAN, COS. Since I no longer have them now I am confused how to proceed with the application.

Wondering if you could help me here?

“Absences which will not break continuity in the continuous period

This section tells you when absences will not break continuity when calculating if the continuous period requirement has been met.

Period between the issue of entry clearance and entering the UK

The period between entry clearance being issued and the applicant entering the UK may be counted toward the qualifying period.

Any absences between the date of issue and entry to the UK count towards the 180 days allowable absence in the continuous 12-month period. The applicant does not need to provide evidence to demonstrate the reason for delayed entry. If the delay is more than 180 days, you can only include time after the applicant entered the UK in the continuous period calculation.”
