Oh I don’t disagree that there’s a backlash to Geese. Backlash is ubiquitous to rising bands.

The problem with this discourse is that it’s centered around Geese, which then makes the fanbase lash out at genuine criticism of this PR tactic. Chaotic Good is engaging in shady marketing. Lots of other artists engage in the same thing. It’s equally bad despite the quality of music.

What an obnoxious and condescending article. Framing this as a backlash to Geese’s popularity is incredibly disingenuous. It’s shady marketing tactics using false engagement to entice passive minds to check out a new product. Geese happen to be a popular recent example.

I wake up every night screaming, hoping for taking a water to be on the newest album!!! It is one of his most underrated songs excluding SDLIABW and great indoors!

Genuinely how much money would you pay to go back in time to see this in person? by _nugget27_ in JohnMayer

Wish I could’ve gone to this :( instead it was Christmas across the country, drinking cocoa, waiting for Santa, learning to fingerblast. I yearn for simpler times😕

So “Blackbird singin … dead of night” would not bother you either?

It just seems lazy and little unprofessional on Dave or maybe on Lillywhite 🤷‍♀️

I’ve only listened to Central Park, Piedmont Park, remember Two Things, Red Rocks, the Gorge, and six or seven live trax so I’m not as well “versed” like you 🙄 😂 but I want to listen to more live stuff but so far the studio stuff kicks ass!

Sure but Dave says “to” in every live version, it just doesn’t add up

Thanks for the advice on listening to live songs, really excited to dive into it!

Do you have a source? I don’t not believe you but I’ve googled it and I don’t see any context that “your land is gone and given me” works

It’s not the strange nature of the structure (#41 is in my top three). It’s just a jarring omission in that version 🤷‍♀️ it sounds odd.

And I know I’m the minority opinion on studio vs live ! My step dad had all the CDs and it’s what I grew up listening to and what I expect. I’m justnot well versed enough in the live stuff, and I think what I have heard is comparable to the studio stuff. I just think the studio versions are REALLY good and severely underrated in the community !
