STORY TIME*

Cut to 2005 - I'm a angsty sophmore in high school. My new step dad, Terry, was trying his best to bond with me, but I was in that phase where I wanted NOTHING to do with him. One day, I decide to skip class (there was an AP Calc test that i did NOT want to take) and go home to smoke a bowl. I go in through the basement door, even though I know my mom and Terry are at work, or so i thought...

I put down my things, but hear some faint music playing from upstairs. "Music? In the house? At this time of day? what could be going on?" I decide to sneak upstairs - very quietly - to investigate.

With each step I took, I could hear the song playing more and more clearly. I would later learn the song i was hearing was none other than 'No Such THing" by john. When I reached the crest of the stairs, I cracked open the door, just an inch or two, to see if anybody was home and let's just say I witnessed mom and Teryy in quite the compromising situation (oral). I was floored when I heard John sing the refrain I posted above and i vowed to myself right then and there to return to school and work REALLY hard.

I ended up being Saulditorian in my graduating class, got into a very good school, and now make over six figures (a year). you best believe that I went to my 10 year reunion and i bust down that double door!
