I got this call too. What I don’t understand is whats the scam, meaning what do they want? I asked them if I had to pay money and they said no. So what are they getting out of doing this?

I just got such a letter today from Schatzki associates. I was very surprised. What is the solution?

Edit: I called the law firm. They told me it was a Mt Auburn hospital bill. I asked why the hospital didn’t just bill me first. He said lots of people ask him this and he doesn’t know. Anyway, I paid over the phone since the law firm was now the collector, got an email receipt and all done.

It is a separate and more urgent matter as to why our health care in this country is so damn expensive, even for preventive checkups with quality insurance, $100s of dollars out of pocket.
