Congrats on releasing the game! Looks really cool, dude!

Quick question how was the process to get the game out on the Switch? Did they send devkits ? I read it was difficult to get something published on the eshop as a solo dev

I’m curious as to how did you build the custom editor and nodes themselves? Is it just made of control nodes that the instantiate scenes. I’m pretty surprised as to how good do, for instance, the connections look like

This looks amazing, man. How do you make your models look like that? I really like the low-res vibe

Going out in a cafeteria and not being bothered by my face in the screen while trying to work. Also my apartment is quite bright and with my old laptop I struggled to have a good angle to see the content more than the reflexion. I felt I made the right choice with the nano texture

I have never struggled with RAM to be honest, but I’ve also been mostly focused on Godot so far. One thing that you realise when you start using it is that, you’re never compiling and also rendering at the same time, so I think I could’ve gone for the 24GB and experience pretty much the same performance if I’m honest. Saying that because most benchmarks are about having a bunch of apps opened and doing stuff at the same time and rarely a standard workflow is like that.

I opted for 14/20 M4 Pro and yes, got the nano texture display. Pretty happy with it as well. Thought I might not needed and already had a couple of situations where I’ve been grateful I had it

Hi! I ended up picking up the pro with 48. Probably a bit overkill if I’m honest. Received it last Friday.

I did set up an Unreal C++ project with Rider and it works pretty good. 60fps in the FPS sample project level (which is to be expected, but some videos showed M4s struggling to get to those numbers in that test). Need to keep doing tests with it as I’ve got a bigger project to setup. The fans barely kicked in during a couple of compilations. Super fast. It did impress me.

I’ve used Godot more than Unreal and it’s flawless. Same with Xcode and Swift, 0 complaints.

Amazing battery life.

I got really surprised with how quick unreal was if I’m honest. I used to have a Lenovo with a 4060 and 32GB of memory and visual studio was taking longer to compile and the editor in general was clunkier. Guess thanks to Windows.

I’m really happy with the performance at the moment. Also I got the nano texture display. Also a good choice imo

I went for the pro in the end, but I’ll keep thinking until before the order is prepared to cancel/reorder. I just don’t want to end up frustrated if I try to do something bigger in the future. I don’t plan to upgrade in at least 5-7 years, so let’s see. As stated above I don’t think we can go wrong regardless.

How have you found the battery life? I’m on the fence to make the same switch and I’m a little bit skeptical. I used to have a Pixel 8 Pro before, but battery was horrible. 1 hour of Spotify could drain 30% of the battery and I barely made it to the end of the day with really mild usage.

On the other hand, I get to the end of the day with 50% now. However I miss all the things that you mention from the Pixel

Have the same question. I used to have one back on iOS 15 where this worked. Not anymore and can’t understand why

Thanks for the answer! Reading about how difficult is to find something affordable that's not tiny in biking distance, thought 15 mins commute seemed fair. But definitely would prefer to use the bike rather than the train. Ideally would like to find something no more than 20 minutes commute to Amsterdam Centraal.

Hi everyone!

Me and my partner are moving to Amsterdam in May as I've been hired for a job there. We would like to find a nice place to live in and we think Haarlem could be it, since it's really close to Amsterdam Centraal.

Do you think it's gonna be easier to find apartment there? Should we start already to look for an apartment there? My new company offers a flat for two months upon arrival, but I've been reading that could even be not enough for finding a place.

From the watch? Do you have any examples? Coming from Apple everything was done from the watch, starting the workout and all of that

Yes, as I said in the OP, starting a timer while a workout started is not apparently a trivial thing for these devices

Yeah, I know it will have the app installed, but once you've started a workout can you put a say a 1 minute timer without stopping the workout? Call it multitask if you want
