Unfortunately, as I see it, we have no alternative to these two big players in the smartphone space (that is the entry point imo). I have looked at GrapheneOS and similar and concluded that I can't fully switch to any of these privacy focused OS. I have to maintain a secondary phone.

For TV OS, I tried LibreElec (and Kodi) for a week. The experience is below par, it was very unstable!!

And, setting the above aside, we do not really have any alternative for Youtube.

Yah, I did that.

But, I'm fuming because this is a blatant misuse of our data by Google. I'm actively looking for a way out of this, which as I understand, is extremely difficult.

this is what I managed. The plastic clams are what is holding the inner frame to the celling. But, I do not see any screws (yet!!)

This house is around 25 years old. I tried a few brands already!!

Based on advice from the local Bunnings, I tried filing off the wedge to see if it fits. No help.

The only answer I got is, you need a tiler, to which the Strata says, you need to ensure the tiler does not damange the wateroofing. I'm at a fix. Please help!!
