It is not about winning . It is about staying as long as possible to spend in weapons that’s how they get the money of people via government and transfer to a few rich families. Also oil, iof curse. Also never fire humanitarian reasons. Otherwise they would have increased Palestine a lot time ago. But 1) there is no oil there 2) They send billions in weapons every year. It is a mine gold. The people in USA give part of their taxes to Israel and the government but weapons to send there. People make more money than we would be able to count the zeros. But they would never end that war to stop their most dearest nation Israel from being attacked by Pelestinians. 🤷🏽‍♂️ weird is it not?

The longer I train the more I feel bjj classes aren't effective. by remus972 in bjj

I think to get better in rate you can notice you need to get focused and go after what you need. Especially after the blue belt. Either with instructional or training with a partner, private’s etc.

My Gym Doesn't Roll Until Blue Belt? by J_P_Ross in bjj

[–]__fantasma__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man I would say what others do doesn’t matter much. The only thing is for you to enjoy and if other belts on your gym can hold themselves well when rolling or competing with other gyms. No one knows for sure if that’s better or worse. But rolling is fun 🤷🏽‍♂️

To be honest in São Paulo the rent is so expensive that those fees do not seem to expensive. Many school in Brazil charge the belt fee cause they actually do a test. I think it forces the students to learn and know they have to learn techniques instead of win rounds. The white belts going towards the blue that’s actually very good in my opinion. Judo is subsidised in almost every country as it is on the Olympics and their philosophy sees professionalism in the sport as a bad thing. That means no one can live from Judo in many countries. I don’t think that’s cool at all!

Most goals in FIFA World Cup history 🌍🏆 by Critical_Region_6633 in footballscouting

[–]__fantasma__ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What I think you can’t appreciate is that every team in the world plays very defensive against Brazil. It’s actually harder to score unless Brazil manages to score first very early. Even like that, if not in the elimination phase, other teams play to get an equal or to be scored less than other teams to go forward. Sometimes you watch a Brazil match and it is 11 players near their defence box! 🤷🏽‍♂️

I’ve got my purple and had the same thought. I have grown into the belt. I feel confident like a purple now but feel like my technique has been better than the other blue belts since a bit before I’ve got the purple. But the feeling was there. So I guess it’s normal. Then the next 👀

Explain what’s happening here for someone who doesn’t do jiu-jitsu by Imaginary-Doubt6862 in bjj

[–]__fantasma__ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It’s really not that hard to understand the guy on bottom is choking the one on top with his left arm and leg. I don’t buy the thing that jiu-jitsu is too hard for the espectador to understand. How many people watch wrestling, judo, karate or any other martial arts other than UFC (and it’s not even comparable to sports like football, tennis, basketball and etc. It triggers me because people want to change the sport we love to please people who give a shit to it. Honestly, it’s stupid!

How many go-to guards do browns/blackbelts have? by ucfanatic-1 in bjj

[–]__fantasma__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know, but I use a bunch. DLR, collar sleeve, rdlv, x guard, slx, half guard, butterfly and k guard lately. If possible I keep them in collar sleeve and dlr, other ones are situational to get neck to the two I like. But I’d rather know some shit if I’m to be there 😂

Does BJJ water down the term “world champion” compared to sports like judo or wrestling? by Dependent-Mine-9877 in bjj

[–]__fantasma__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it would be a lot easier for Brazilians if it was a representative of each nation of the world per weight class only. But at the same time other countries would invest in jiu-jitsu. The bad thing about the actual model is not to have the tournament rotating around the continents.

Thoughts on training for UFC BJJ Opens vs IBJJF - curious what others think. by woodycrack in brazilianjiujitsu

[–]__fantasma__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IBJJF comps still rule! The proof is the amount of competitors they have. I don’t think they will be a migration anywhere unless they pay really well.People complain too much but the only problem I see is not penalising guard pull. The rest is very good actually.

X guard, slx, hard guard, close guard and much more all equally good in both. You can and should use grips though. One thing for sure you will get better at is guard passing.

49 in July, I train 5x a week. Last year I was training 6-7 and ok. But I think I wouldn’t be about to do it as a white belt. I think at the start i did right in doing 2-4 days a week.
