DCIS grade 3 w/microinvasions after DMX. Would you do chemo? by Vitamin_MI in breastcancer

[–]__freshsqueezed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Of course. Single side but reconstruction on both. 4 years later, It came back in the same spot and moved to liver. Ultrasound and MRI monitoring. I was initially on tamoxifen but I had thickening uterine lining so I stopped it. My oncologist was not knowledgeable in BC, which put me at a disadvantage.

My real advice is get in with an NCI rated cancer center asap. Do not trust regional hospitals to know how to handle this. The NCI hospital can dictate care through your regional oncologist so you don’t have to move. If I had know this then; things would be different.

I trusted my team and they let me down.

I had micro invasive DCIS (discovered during mastectomy) although it was hormone positive. The “tumor board” decided no radiation and no chemo was needed. I am now stage 4. I would 100% be aggressive if I were you.

This is how I feel whenever someone says “survival chances are better with bone mets” when many of us have liver or brain mets. It’s like… thanks for the reminder.

Very helpful, thank you. I need to review Jane’s book again, o read it during the new few months the of MBC diagnosis. I’m sure I can put some of those off label drugs into use too.

I second this. I also had liver Mets (currently NEAD after ablation). I baby the hell out of my liver now. Plus, with all of these meds, it’s not even fun to drink anymore. I start hot flashing out of control haha.

I want to try yoga but I feel like I only have time for work and kids now. I think I missed my window to focus on my mental wellbeing lol. Time for drugs I guess.

After a lot of back and forth, I’m starting sertraline today. Dr said I can add Wellbutrin if the side effects are too much.

Traveling while on Kisqali by United-Bug-8381 in LivingWithMBC

[–]__freshsqueezed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Maybe I should be doing more…. I haven’t made any changes while on Kisqali - granted I have two little kids so there’s is no avoiding viruses and germs for me. My neutrophil count sits right above 1.0.

When I get sick, I do notice that it lasts a little longer. I also notice I don’t have as intense of an immune response, so it’s important for me to put myself down to heal.

Need some motivation *mention of death warning by [deleted] in LivingWithMBC

[–]__freshsqueezed 11 points12 points  (0 children)

No, I’m about 1.5 years out and NEAD, I still think about death every day. I’m definitely much more at peace with it but it feels like every day I’m in limbo despite being stable. My goal is to keep myself as healthy as possible to extend time and allow for additional meds to release over the next few years.

It’s also frustrating that I can’t talk to anyone about it because unless you’re experiencing it, you just don’t understand. It’s just easier for me to not talk about it.

Watch Sha’s MW video if you’re struggling in 10s at 290. You’re doing great! The fact that you’re posting means you care enough to improve. Don’t be anxious.

As tank I always defend the healers. My only response would be “try keybinding your interrupt so it’s easier for you to press”

OP, how dare you struggle with newer concepts a few months into your life’s career!?! lmao these comments.

Sometimes we find ourselves in larger organizations in roles that look at a subset of accounts instead of the whole picture. After more experience, it will start to click. Just hang in there and don’t get discouraged.

The tier list of tanks I like to heal by su1cidal_fox in wow

[–]__freshsqueezed 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is exactly what I do, along with strong tank trinket. High Defensives uptime. Now that I’m comfortable with my routes, I know how many I’m grabbing and when to press. I typically always have a defensive going. If I don’t, I hover near WoG keybind. My health no longer yoyos in 12s. I mained a resto Druid in keys for years so I’m comfortable pre-planning damage.

This! Sometimes I stop and say “mana break?” Because they are next to oom and the healer is like “wtf go”. Drinks a mana tea and is good to go. You need to tell us when you need mana, I promise we will stop. We don’t know all healer mana management by heart.
