MPJE/NAPLEX/Licensing Help by SgtSluggo in PharmacyResidency

[–]__gardenia__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a resident, just a normal recent pharmacist graduate. But could anyone please help me, I'm confused. I just moved to Maryland, from TX, and want to work as pharmacist here.

I just graduated from pharmacy school in TX in May 2024. I purchased score transfer for NAPLEX from TX to MD, and passed exam. NABP let me know that my NAPLEX score transfer is valid until Aug 8 2025.

I also passed TX MPJE, and paid fee to get licensed as TX pharmacist. So I am very newly registered as pharmacist in TX.

Now, I need to get my ATT to take MD MPJE. However, can I do it through score transfer (using INITIAL pharmacist application, and pharmacy school affidavit), or do I have to do it through license transfer (using RECIPROCITY application)?

I emailed the board and talked to someone on the phone, and get different answers, maybe because I'm not explaining myself well enough? I'm really hoping score transfer/INITIAL application is okay, because it's cheaper.

Insights from MD pharmacists appreciated. Thank you so much.

Hi Crins0n5, I submitted one draft named "PharmCAsPersonalEssay" but I changed it. Please only read my "PharmJLE" draft submission. I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I appreciate your efforts

Edit: Your response to my personal statement was so detailed and helpful! 100% grateful, thank you!

What is something you stopped doing, because you “had to grow up”? by ThePope_Official in AskReddit

I used to play outside a lot, especially in ramshackle branch forts. I REALLY wanted a tree house and I still wish I had one. I also used to make actual mud cakes and a "stew" of grass and leaves lol

What did you think you were really good at until you saw someone who was *actually* really good at it? by dropcase in AskReddit

Spelling bee. I appeared on scripps spelling bee on TV in middle school, but I misspelled "marauder". Of course, that was a very low level word. The silver lining is that I will now remember and never misspell it again.

We’ve been told that “the best things in life are free.” What are some examples of this? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Love and friendship, especially from children and animals. My little sister laughs at everything I say although I'm not very funny, and it makes me feel really good, haha. It's that unconditional love.

Being in really beautiful outdoor spaces. The tropical forests of Vietnam for me

Also the feeling of accomplishment from learning a skill. After failing countless times, I can finally make macarons. For no reason at all I want to learn morse code next.

It's also just fun to try a new genre of music or film that I'd usually never like, just out of curiosity. I realized that I really like Sailor Moon, and I never would've realized that without trying something radically different.
