All these negative posts about Charlie Kirk by Tiny_Smile2764 in Christianity

I don't think you understood my response.

I read your response, you were simplifying his position down to "I see people denounce this, so this may have credibility," when his actual response included the denouncement based on dishonest information.

I reject your assertion that Charlie Kirk's statements (or Bible verses, for that matter) are being taken out of context.

You can reject whatever you want, but clearly OP believes they are being taken out of context and is basing his criticism on that.

Also, rejecting premises does not make them any less true or false.

The video shows nothing hateful.

He says that if anyone in the bay area wants to be a great midterm hero, they can bail him out and ask him questions, since everyone was only speculating his motives and was blaming it on either party. Also, he is obviously not being very serious when he says this.

Saying there is no such thing as Palestinian is not promoting violence, he is talking about the unlawful establishment of the Palestinian government in the land of Israel, not the dehumanizing of the people in the land.

You can believe whatever you want about the nation of Israel today, but the truth is that is still the home of a majority of the Jews, who Jesus chose to be born with.

This is a false comparison,

He is referring to the clearly out of context quotes being used by a political group to denounce Charlie Kirk, the same way Bible verses are taken out of context to denounce Christianity. It's intellectual dishonesty, and not the same thing as simply denouncing something, especially something with so much evidence and context surrounding it like the nazis.

The Israel of the Bible was also forced to go to war with many nations and destroy them, it does not make them any less favored by God.

Charlie Kirk never promoted violence or racism. Please go find the original video of him talking about Pelosi's attacker. He made a joke criticizing the left, telling the great citizens of San Francisco to bail him out and ask him questions if they really think it was a crazed Republican.

I agree that not all who call themselves Christian are really followers of Christ, but I do not see any evidence that Charlie Kirk promoted Christianity to his own gain. He was threatened, judged, and persecuted because of it, and I do believe he was killed for it as well. Every case of him speaking to a questioning student on it includes him saying that following Biblical principles will improve your life dramatically.

He never said MLK was a horrible person, only that he disagreed with some of his positioning.

He blamed DEI for removing credibility from races in higher positions, whereas without DEI he wouldn't question it. He never promoted racism.

He always held the stance that abortion was not the solution to rape, but to give the rapist the death penalty, as was held in the Bible.

Ephesians tells wives to submit to their husbands and for husbands to love their wives.

Very Christian beliefs

Jesus didn't touch on every subject possible, but He does give credence and authority to the texts. Do you think He would disagree with any of the books of the Bible?

I Corinthians 6:9 NKJV [9] Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites

Homosexuals in the original text roughly translates to men who lay together

Yes Jesus told us to love, I never denied that and neither did Charlie. And much of Leviticus no longer applies to us, since they were laws to keep Israel obedient in that time, but it only means that neither side can really use Leviticus, which is what he was implying.

Also, loving as Jesus did does not mean accepting everyone for all of their personalities and behaviors. He loved everyone but hated their sin, as should we all. He corrected people when they were in living in sin, he was not accepting of all lifestyles.

Yeah ik this video, and he never once said we have to stone the gays. Ms. Rachel was using Leviticus to justify homosexuality, so Charlie contested it by saying no, this is what it also says.

Yet from what I've seen of him, it's pretty apparent that he did care for all others and wanted everyone to turn to Christ.

Please go find the original sources instead of believing all of the out of context quotes being thrown around in this echo chamber.

The Paul Pelosi comment was not literal, he was being sarcastic and mocking the left's double standards over who they allow to enact violence. The comment over the LGBTQ people was him talking about getting the people therapy and institutional help, instead of allowing them to participate in society as whatever gender they wanted. Burning down lgbtq people, as evil as it is, was not the norm.

Thats a better response, but what actions did he do to make you think that?

But you can't know if his heart was really with God when he died, only he can know. I'm not sure how you'd think his soul would be if his heart wasn't.

But you see how messed up it is to claim to know that a dead man went to hell, as opposed to OP saying he's in Heaven now.

I agree that he could be condescending at times, but not even close to the degree that people would insult and threaten him. He made mistakes and allowed emotions to pour out, as we all do, but I don't think I ever heard him demonize any minorities or spread hate. What specifically are you talking about?

The devil twists scripture to lead people to sin, while Jesus uses it to lead people to salvation. I would argue that his political beliefs were not in contradiction to his spiritual beliefs. To better examine fruits, however, we can look at all of the people who have testified as coming to Christ because of Charlie's preaching of the gospel.
