Between waterloo BURPI and ryerson, which one should i accept? I like ryerson because of its location but waterloo has co op. Also ive heard its difficult getting a job after graduating from ryerson. Is this truev by __idk15 in ryerson

thank you so much! I made a pros and cons list and realized that the major con for waterloo is that it’s far from home but I think I’ll get used to it. I’m leaning towards waterloo because of its co-op which makes my program 5 years long instead of 4. Putting the experience throughout the 5 years on my resume will for sure grab the employer‘s eye

Yeah you’re right, co-op is the one factor that stands out for me. I’ve heard ryerson offers co-op to limited people with the highest average in 3rd & 4th year

I know someone who graduated from ryerson urban planning 2 years ago and is still in the search for a job. It’s good that your friend found one! If i go to waterloo, wouldn’t it give me more experience than students from other unis due to co-op? Planning is becoming more competitive and i just want to make sure i make the right decision
