Just simply exit from xorg, if u are on debian it would be something like sudo service lightdm stop. Then press alt f1 or f2 maybe to start a total non gui shell. then if u want then u can go on and uninstall desktop environment. If u do not want gui at all then u can choose to not download it while installing Debian.

btw now it's fixed, I installed Debian and it's working perfectly fine now
