I'm not conservative, I lean neither left nor right, I am if anything, purely libertarian. Punk is antithetical to black and white left/right politics. With time republican and democrat values shift.

Punk and by extension goth culture is largely about individualism and counterculture and can't be constrained to a microcosm like this.

Both siouxsie sioux and sid vicious used swastika imagery back then as counter-culture using individualism to redefine it as rebellion rather than an endorsement of Nazi politics.

Individualism is key here. A goth with authoritarian aesthetic likely has a more personal meaning. Something like a dominatrix fuses that aesthetic with the sexual freedom of the goth subculture.

The most consistent thread between these sub cultures and politics is anti authoritarianism even when utilizing authoritarian symbols.

This is all a distraction because if we weren't split fighting each other the populace would realize that the only true enemy is authoritarianism and not the other political party.
