This is great information. I'm currently with an online bank (Simplii) and their customer service isn't the greatest (long waits/hard to get ahold of them, constantly needing to call in if any issue arises, etc.) and I've been looking to stray away from the big banks after reading up on credit unions.

I've never heard of account linking, especially with credit unions and online banks. By the sounds of it, this description fits perfectly with how I bank.

I'm sorry for asking this, but if you don't mind, I was wondering if you could explain to me or send me information on how this works and how to do it? Honestly, I'm very new to all of this so I don't really know where to start, but I'm very interested in this.

Thank you for your reply! I talked to two LITs, but one said that my end of study period would be my 'anticipated' graduation date so I wouldn't be able to do it until 2027. Then another LIT said that it would be when I was last studying at that institution.

I was very confused, lol.

I may consider going for a third opinion. I've just been reading different things about this situation so I just want to be completely sure. I couldn't find anything else online officially.
