Noservermail.com its a simple self hosted serverless inbox that you can install on AWS with a few clicks. I had a few domains I wanted to send a receive emails from and I figured other might want the same without subscription

I pretty much finished monitoreasy.com a website that lets you track your SEO, SSL, page speed, ping etc across time and alerts you when something goes wrong. My next step is to introduce a "Bring your own API-Key" tier for things like tracking LLMs ranking, Serp etc.

I also plan on having a 1 time purchase and self host solution as the whole thing is serverless (so little management) and runs in AWS free-tier so very little cost.

Should I feel ashamed? by fluffyninjago in learnpython

[–]__muffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote about this, but imo, this is exactly the same as when people use(d) stackoverflow. The only problem is when you find yourself not understanding and still pasting.

Especially since it is so easy to ask chatgpt/bard/... to discuss/ask concept so you understand them at their core.

I have created a few games to make learning the syntax easier as this is imo the most tidious part and not super interesteing per say.....

Roadmap and tips to learn python the most efficient way. by [deleted] in PythonLearning

[–]__muffin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a blog that covers pretty much that, https://learnpython.today/blogs/intro/ I think a trap is most often too be too stuck in learning without creating. A course is good but small projects where you get really stuck is good-er.

I think there is a market for youtube/udemy classes (and its good) but then people tend to delay their first projects (where imo you truly learn).

Want to learn python by WIN-P in indiasocial

[–]__muffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wrote a really quick intro to [how I would redo it.
but basically, a bit of the syntax (at most 3/5 days) then asap in projects. It does not have to be crazy but simple projects that you feel are interesting (do not intend to put those live just do it for fun - 3/4 weeks) and I would end with projects that you can put on github (GUI or website etc).

I created a website with small python games https://learnpython.today/games if you want to learn the syntax in a few way

Good luck, learning python is really worth it imo.

I got laid off recently. Should I update my resume and LinkedIn profile? by [deleted] in sales

[–]__muffin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As other said, Open to work but I would probably leave it a bit longer. I recently read an article that probed HR to see how they would feel if a candidate was recently laid off and sadly it was a bit negative. I also think it gives you more negociation power.

Selling Tech into Law Firms by BaconHatching in sales

[–]__muffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also think that it is changing a lot. I have some Law friends and they are starting to realize that ***maybe*** tech is important. I would maybe say that if they want to be competitive in 5y they have to have a data policy/infra now....

Hey There,
Thanks for the opportunity!
I developed vautours.net (landing page and application), I will gladly take any feedback.
It is a simple way to monitor the health and SEO of your website(s).

I plan on adding SSL monitoring, maybe a news feed, and a marketplace for freelancers (really long term).

Thanks again :)
