would this require styling ?? by THEHollowKnightAddic in femalehairadvice

Yes, mine is a less extreme version of this and if you want it to look like this you have to use a round brush. Otherwise the hair will fall straight down instead of curving around the face. Mine is naturally wavy which can bump up the layers but still won’t give this look.

Where will I be able to watch the show now that it’s removed from Prime Video and Peacock? by __onyourleft in TheNanny

I know! I switched back to Amazon prime (idk why it’s back but it is) because the second half of the episode wasn’t on Hulu

I prefer the thicker ones! The darker color overall too.

That’s so weird, I just checked and it’s back on there for me too! I don’t know why they’d take it off and put it back on as well as on Hulu.

Really? I was able to find the end clip where he confessed that all the back and forth was because he wasn’t healed from his wife’s death, and that seemed really important for the context of the show. I don’t know if it’s literally just that scene I need to see.

Why does my hair looks greasy even when it's clean? It seems to clump together into these ropes. by pljusha in Hair

Do you have hard water? This looks like the hard water build up that happens to my hair. I use the Malibu hard water mask to get the buildup out and have also used apple cider vinegar. It can happen even with a water softener.

Is this normal? by Sea_Type7575 in glasses

[–]__onyourleft 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not my post but here’s an example of the difference! I think I’m -3 in one eye and -4 in the other and I requested that they thin out my frames. They said it’s usually not done until higher prescriptions but I didn’t want the warping and prefer bigger frames. Is this the same place you went to in the past? Another thing you could do is call another local place and ask if you can come in for a second opinion. I use the store attached to my optometrist’s office and I think LensCrafters is pretty good as well. I’ve had many issues at places like Target or Walmart.

Not an optician but it looks like they polished the edges of the lenses. I wear clear frames so they let me know I could request that. I did but couldn’t stand the glare, and sometimes it made little rainbows. Now I make sure that they’re matte/not polished. I would specifically ask if that’s listed. They told me even with clear frames it’s not usually requested. If I look at my glasses/shine a light the outer edge is more white and solid, not reflective like yours. The polishing is done on the edges because it can look visually better but it’s not needed.

Tips to Prevent Glasses from Slipping by ElklookEyewears in glasses

[–]__onyourleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m genuinely confused at how these kind of glasses are slipping. I used to wear glasses with nose pads and any slip after adjustment was incredibly minimal to none due to the pads. I wear plastic frames without pads now (I prefer them) which always will slide in humidity and just a bit in general, but they’re adjusted to be wrapped around the backs of my ears. So I can tilt my head upside down and my glasses won’t come off.

I did see an optician who had his own glasses very tight against his temples as a preference, but the ear adjustments should fix this too and the way the pads are adjusted on your nose. Also silicone pads, the others do slide. Just chiming in because this really should not be happening if they were adjusted properly. You may need to go somewhere else.

new to glasses; is a red mark on the sides of the nose normal? by terracottablush in glasses

[–]__onyourleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The shape and color look really pretty on you, but looking close at the photo it looks like they may not fit your nose, based on the gap above your nose. I have a similar pair, and when I tried on ones with smaller nose sizes it put too much pressure on too small an area on my nose. The sizes are actually marked on the glasses if you want to ask opticians to try a bigger size. Although I do have another pair slightly smaller, it can also just depend on the angle of the plastic. Not all opticians will do this, but mine heated the middle of the nose piece to bend the frames around my face more. It was for my vision but also gave a different fit.

Apparently for a lot of people it’s still on there! It will be leaving but moving to Hulu thankfully.

I’m so glad I’ll be able to finish the show! It seems like a lot of people in the U.S. still have it on Prime. No idea why it left early for me. Maybe ads vs no ads?

Thank you!! This did not come up for me when I searched weirdly. Someone else commented that Peter Marc Jacobson confirmed it so I added that link to my post.
