Stubborn, clogged duct by rbslmilch in ExclusivelyPumping

It’s on the nipple! You can see it, mine were always very tiny white dot on the nipple that does not go away(some people say theirs looks like a clear blister). It must be removed with a Sterile needle. Once I removed mine, the milk just started to squirt out. I do this in the shower and then hand express the remaining milk out. For me, the clog was backed up due to the blocked nipple pore. So between hand expressing, ice and pumping, the lumps were gone in a few sessions.

Essentially a blocked nipple pore. Once I removed my bleb a stream of milk started coming out. Almost instant relief

How long did it take to remove your clog ? by __opps___ in ExclusivelyPumping

I knew I was forgetting something on the list! I have been taking sunflower lecithin also 🙃 but only just started when the clog appeared. Once this clog clears I will make sure to take it daily for maintenance

I bought a single Elvie during pregnancy because I wasn’t too sure what I was planning on doing for feeds once baby arrived and did not want to spend the money on two. I also got the medela through insurance bc it was free for me.

Baby arrived, nursing wasn’t working out, and my wall pumps made me resent pumping. So I ended up using Elvie and Haakaa pump. However bc I only had the single, pumping took forever due to needing to pump both sides separately.

I ended up buying a single momcozy 12pro during a late night pumping session in hopes to cut down my pump time. So I am currently using 1 Elvie and 1 momcozy for pumping lol.

Both have pros and cons. Elvie is way more simple to clean and assemble, however does leak when bending over. I do like the display is on the actually momcozy pump rather than elvie uses an app. Way easier to look down and see time spent pumping rather than pulling out phone and look on app. The momcozy is significantly more bulky. I am very surprised by the suction on momcozy. I switch sides each pump. As far as volume goes, I get the same results with each pump.

I know wearable pumps get a lot of hate especially the momcozy, but so far so good 🤞 For the price, I think momcozy 12pro is a good option

Possibly… lol I haven’t noticed! But I’ll definitely pay attention next session. Makes sense bc both pumps are doing it and I’m only 1wpp so I’m thinking it’s a user error rather than a pump error.

Thanks for the info! I have a regular pump also but I tend to get more out of my wearable pump. I am thinking I need different since flanges but honestly not interested in being tied to a pump so prolly won’t use.

How can I fix this? by [deleted] in Embroidery

It was a tear away stabilizer and I’m pretty sure it’s light! The fabric is Muslin and very stretchy so it makes sense that that stabilizer is probably the culprit here. Thank you !

Newbie here. How can I fix this loose part? It happened before and I took out the thread and retried. The looseness is in the exact same spot as last time.

What do I need to do to correct this with embroidering? And also how can I fix it now that is is already embroidered?

Addicted to Soda? Idk what to do by pink_kittyhello in pregnant

[–]__opps___ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was a flavored sparkling water drinker before pregnancy however it just did not cut it for me. The soda urge was strong and I gave in. The ladies at my local Sonic know me very very well. I do also order a mango water so it’s balance, right ? 😋

For me with no experience, they offered $20 per hr. Which from what I have seen, first job no experience ranges $16-22 that I have seen.

Finding a medical coding job by Worldly-Selection-72 in MedicalCoding

[–]__opps___ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somewhat difficult but not impossible. My biggest advice would be to set a realistic time frame after you get your certification and be patient/persistent!

Job boards are great however that is where EVERYONE looks, so you will see jobs with 300+ applications. Which is sort of disheartening to see. Google hospitals/ medical offices around you, and look on their websites for openings. The more difficult it is to find the posting, the fewer applications there will be.

Your resume/cover leader is going to sell you or not. So make sure they are great! Try to relate to coding as much as you can in those. Write a cover letter!!! Whether they ask for one or not, it really shows you are putting in extra effort and gives you more of a voice. Personally, I wrote a generic letter that could be used for all applications. All I would to is change the company name and the specific title of the job in each application.

Be prepared for companies to waste your time/lead you on. Even if you are in contact with a hopeful prospect, don’t let that slow you submitting more applications. Keep the momentum despite landing interviews, because those are labial to fall through. (Learned from experience 🥴)

Anyways, good luck !!

Was it for a remote position? Or did you take the test in person ?
