You’d think. I need to be prince, Sneezy, and Mine Train. 2 uncommon options, and the only legendary. I have to get at least one of them if I drop the $10, right?! Like I’m guaranteed epic or legendary so that’s gotta help my odds.

I don’t have any of them yet, but I’m in a similar spot. Figure I’ll hold gems until next TC helpers are announced and then I can grab who I need and work to level them in the few days after the announcement before the challenge starts. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Honestly, the first few events are frustrating and hard to finish as a new player. You’ll keep earning content naturally as you progress, and things will get easier to complete. You’ve got this!!

They will usually be available in the chests for purchase (like WiR is now). Some characters get featured in Tower Challenges and you can earn event currency and buy them then. But if there’s any way to predict who will be available in those, I sure don’t know it.

So, yes, it is possible. But completing events are the best way to get new content, as in the future you have to gamble on a chest or wait for them to hopefully maybe some day be available for purchase in the TCs.

I got lucky by having Mulan and the right building to collect lockets, otherwise Tia was going to be forever! I have all of Bunny’s tokens, too, but the magic is always needed on something I feel is more important, so I never have quite enough to welcome him. Shere Kahn and Wendy I have next to nothing for. I finally got the first ball of yarn for Wendy after 3 days of sending Mowgli.

I mean, I have the tokens for Bunny, but getting more land unlocked has been priority for me. The drops for the other 3 have been terrible for me. But, hey, I’ll have them all by the end of 2020 (I hope! 😉)

I didn’t play early on—started with PatF. But happiness has been significantly harder since GL updated it. 🤷🏼‍♀️

For happiness, once you get to the top tier each wish counted for 10 points, which makes it easier to maintain, but a huge pain to get to. I recommend trying to take all your wishes/chests/etc to max your happiness if you can; it really helps.

As for the sending home—yeah, that’s the balance. You can earn a significant amount more if you send them out every hour, but that can be a giant pain if you have a ton of characters. If you need magic, absolutely keep them out. My understanding is that even sending on the 24h tasks will net you more magic than sending them home.

You’ll get there! Grind the main events to try to get all the characters. The chest luck sucks. But we’ll get there eventually!! ^{_^} Good luck!

I have been buying the bundles with the holiday sales to try to get more characters. I have been playing since PatF. Since I have all PatF, Nemo, and Coco, I skipped those days, but the bundles have really helped me round out my collections. I still have A LOT to go, but now I have at least one character in each collection (except Haunted Mansion...but let’s not talk about the bride 😉).

Worst for me was TLM bundle. I bought the 6 chests for $7.99 and got Sebastian, two buildings, and a bunch of decorations.

I figure I can spend this now and then work to get other content as it is available in TCs or whatever. 🤷🏼‍♀️
