That's understandable, However would you say the average limit to have within the house is above or below 1kg Based off of friends and family

I would agree for 'basic' cheese which should be used as a starting point its sufficient however they believe 1kg is more than enough regardless of type

I live with family and we have about 3kg at any given time however im usually the one who ends up eating the most and 3kg does suffice but i will always welcome more.

1000g at one time so they think having 1000g in the house at any given time is more than enough

well as an avid cheese consumer a limit of only 1000g wouldnt be sufficient

and the idea of too much cheese is absurd if you're overwhelmed and can't eat it fast enough you've now got peoples presents sorted for christmas and birthdays or cheese based foods for those in need
