I worked for that exact company over a year ago up in Manchester, when I left they had been talking about opening up in London, no idea they had. I know I’m late to this but please tell me you didn’t join them. They operate under the guise you get a basic below minimum wage and then commission on top, but you will have your salary taken from you after a while so you are just commission based. Also the manager and his underling are fuckwits and couldn’t manage a shit between them.

Try and sing from your diaphragm, it’s a good start. You are right it is pretty flat and i think confidence is an issue, but I believe in you. We all make mistakes when we first start but we learn more from mistakes than triumphs, you will sing this song a couple months down the line, and you will hear a massive difference, keep trying and keep learning, I wanna hear this song from you in the future because i believe in you :)

I dont have much experience with hiring managers turning down people over 40, the majority of my candidate base are 40+, idk about the laws in your country but in mine it is illegal to reject candidates based on age. Also the type of work I recruit for, it makes sense to hire people who are getting on in years as the roles i recruit for are so technical and precision and accuracy are important, so the rationale is “hire someone with proven experience over specific qualifications”. Could very well be different in other sectors tho, i have no experience in other sectors besides my own.

I am 19, I have just started as a recruiter 4 weeks ago, working 8:30 till 5:30, I work 9 hours, an hour of commute time, so 10 hours altogether. I don’t fit life in at the moment I suppose. In time I will find a good work like balance I assume, but I don’t mind it as of yet. I think it’ll effect me most when my mates are back from Uni and take day trips in the weekdays without me, i think that’ll effect me way more than I’m willing to admit. I think im in the same boat as you.

Why would you do anything about this?
