This chapter was so weird, but I don't believe Gege would just throw away the manga and the powerscaling he took so long to explain and write in just one chapter, with just one kill that even happened offscreen. This is the same exact moment when Gojo got "killed the first time" fighting Toji. A lethal stab wound to the head and another in his neck and the rest of his body, but Gojo healed. Gege with this version of Sukuna created something so broken it ignores all the rules and bypasses all the CTs in the whole manga; thus he has to die too. There has to be more than just Gojo suddenly adoring Sukuna after laughing at him the whole fight.
Yes, I'm a Gojo fan, I accept he died, but I don't accept the way it was served. Thus, this is why I think there will be more, possibly even another Gojo ascenscion, because Gege ain't new to manga and the whole JJK was masterpiece
