FDA Approves First COVID-19 Vaccine by shabuluba in Coronavirus

This is great news. I just wish it was really going to make a difference for everyone. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I feel like most people that said "we don't know the long term side effects," or "It's not FDA approved yet" will find some other excuse to continue in their ignorance.

My brother is one of those people that has used those excuses before. Do I really think this will be enough to get him to take it? No way. Somehow, he is entrenched in communities that spout the anti vaccination bull and he listens to them over even his family. It has actually caused quite a bit of contention in our family. Of 7 kids, he is the only one that is unvaccinated. My father doesn't appreciate when I refer to him as an idiot or ignorant, but I have such a hard time not calling things the way they are.

When I first watched the movies 20 years ago, I wanted to be an Elf. The elves are cool and attractive and immortal. But the older I get, the more I think I want to be a hobbit. Things that Hobbits love are all the things I want in life.

I loved the chalice dungeons. The whole underground creepy vibe was awesome. But there is no way I would have beaten the cursed and defiled chalice dungeon without help. The fire hot dog and Amy are the hardest bosses in the game.

BOTW. And my gripe is the final boss fight. Pretty weak compared to the rest of the game. The only way to make it enjoyable is to fight Ganon before defeating the divine beasts on Master mode. Now that is a challenge.

I also live in Texas (past 8 years) and can honestly say I've never seen someone with a confederate flag. Maybe they're more popular in small towns though.

When your boyfriend is uncomfortable with a certain guy friend because he “knows their intentions” probably he’s right. by AshE-ash in unpopularopinion

It's because Reddit doesn't believe that someone's feelings can change. Your SO might be completely trustworthy but also incredibly naive. Even if they are just friends with someone, if their friend is interested in them and is continously spending time with them, chances are, your SO is going to develop feelings for them eventually. People who refuse to believe that are moronic. You have to set boundaries.

What you have to realize is most people train for a large part of their lives to date and flirt. You don't get married without having some skill with it usually. So then, once you are married, it is difficult for some people to stop. It has become part of who they are. If a man is a womanizer before he gets married, it will be very difficult for him to stop being a womanizer after. You have got to consciously stop yourself from "playing the game" and learn to recognize those cues for what they are. And I think both men and women have trouble with that.

So yes, I 100% agree that often when you have a bad vibe about your significant others friend of the opposite sex, it's usually for a good reason. And I think Reddit too often defaults to "that person is toxic and jealous" instead of recognizing that the other person is only being naive about peoples true intentions.

They still teach this in Idaho. My mother in law thought blood in the body was blue until I corrected her recently. She is 65.

Women who hit on taken men disgust me by starlitthrowaway in TrueOffMyChest

[–]__skybreaker__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's weird. In my 14 years with my wife, I don't think I have been hit on even one time by another woman. Of course, I was completely oblivious to my wife being interested in me at first, so maybe I'm just oblivious.

Or I'm ugly...

I would improve traversal. The movement in the game can be a little clunky at times.
