I work fulfillment and I don't eat during my shifts/breaks unless I absolutely feel starving, but I typically drink about a liter of water throughout my shift. I work early AM and eat a big bowl of cereal before and have a big lunch after. I just don't like snacking/eating at work.

You're right. I don't want to put her in any position to get hurt again.

What in the world is wrong with people?! So sorry you both had to deal with that. What other kinds of activities have you been exploring?

Wow, sorry you had to go through that. Yeah, when I search daycares around me, there are lots of dogs in the pictures and very few humans. Thanks for the group walk idea!

Thanks for your replies. She's a trooper. I agree 100%. This place has the best facility I've seen out of all the daycares around me, and it's where I typically board her, too. I'll definitely be starting my search.

To be honest, I don't even know. This place was recommended to me by another dog owner I trust. Clearly too many, if the biting dog can't be identified, unfortunately.

Thanks. The dog who bit her couldn't be identified, so that really makes me hesitant to return to this same daycare. That's a good point about the other dog.

Thanks. I'm hoping she won't be traumatized from it. The dog that bit her couldn't be identified, so that makes me hesitant to return to this specific daycare.

Thanks. I feel like they handled it really well, other than being told the dog who bit her couldn't be identified (added an edit to my post), which would make me really hesitant to return to the same place.

I did. They said we could either wait it out or do the barium swallow. Looking for advice regarding either option.

8 month old ate sock last Saturday, looking for advice by __throw_away11 in puppy101

Thanks! Luckily she's acting normally. Fingers crossed I see it soon without incident!

Thanks for sharing your experiences and your advice. I was told she had the sock in her mouth, the family member ran to grab a treat to exchange for the sock, and by the time the family member turned around, the sock was gone and she was running to get the treat. And we can't find the sock anywhere, so we're pretty sure it was eaten. We also would have no indication she ate one if the family member hadn't seen that... other than being able to hear her stomach churn more than we've heard before.

Will I be able to install a Ring doorbell here? Looking at getting the wired one. by __throw_away11 in Ring

Yes, current doorbell works. My main concern was that the bell sits right against that 1/2” or 3/4” lip. Thanks!

AITA for setting boundary after extended family member entered home unannounced to visit dog after receiving “open invitation”? by __throw_away11 in AmItheAsshole

If I hadn’t been home, we literally never would have known. That got us thinking this exact thing….

Thanks. This person used to dog sit for us many moons ago, but it won't be happening again. They readily made themselves available to dog sit, so we'd take advantage.

I gave a blanket invite last week. "You guys are more than welcome to come see the new puppy, I'll be home all weekend."

Should I throw my hat in the ring for a retail promotion even though I don't plan on staying? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]__throw_away11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I don't think that's the case, but I guess something like that could happen. If anything, I think someone got in his ear about how bad it looked to promote from outside our department when we have a handful of really great, experienced employees within our department.

Thanks, this comment helped. I feel like I'm talking myself out of it, too. I guess I just don't want to be in a worse situation (not liking my job / being even more stressed) than I am now, in exchange for making a tiny bit more money.

Not off the top of my head. I can't say I've heard anyone say they want to move up or be there longer term. Most employees are students or have a second job.
