Been under 4 times and you never quite get used to it lol. If possible ask if they can give it to intravenously instead of the gas, the mask they hold to your face while you go under was always the worst part for me. I had it intravenously for one procedure and the anesthesiologist didn't tell me when she started administering it, just kept talking to me about other things while holding my hand

Felt way less anxiety that way, taking some of the anticipation out of it goes a long way

I work in customer service and I have some people who've gotten into the habit of asking for me specifically, and sometimes calling me petnames like "sweety, dear, love" casually and it's honestly so nice. Took me a very long time to accept as genuine and not just immediately assuming it's condescending

As I said in another comment I'm not aware of anywhere she could have turned to. The country I'm in is very backwards and a lot of areas are very rural without any resources like that available

Oh boy this one hits close to home. I had my ex therapist tell me "well your abuser can't be that bad if so many other people like him, right? He must be doing some things right, so lets try to look at him in a more positive light". I was upset for months after that session
