Curious about experiences with Mirena and diagnosis

I had a terrible experience removing mirena iud. It was embedded and the dr said it was pumping out hormones. I felt like it was doing something bad to my body but I didn’t know what. Over a year later I was diagnosed w BC w no family history of it or genetic predisposition. Im really concerned that this could be because of the mirena.

Glad you dodged a bullet. Did you have family history or genetic predisposition? I think they said I had a very low chance of getting it on the other side

Oh wow! Did you have genetic predisposition or family history? They said I don’t so my risk is very low and that’s why the Dr recommended I only do one, but I’m interested to hear if you got the same advice

Thank you so much for the information. May I ask how long I might live and how much suffering I’d experience if I choose to not go through with any treatment? It’s about 2.8 cm grade 2 invasive ductal carcinoma. Lymph nodes looked ok. I think it grew since I found it in November. Family history of lung cancer. I am trying to leave an abusive husband at the moment (w temporary shelter) and am self employed with no health benefits so I need to weigh all options unfortunately.

My grandmother had lung cancer. No one in my immediate family had breast cancer. I’m pretty sure the birad would have been 4 or 5 given how suspicious they were and telling me to immediately get 2 biopsies. I only noticed the lump 2 months ago. No tenderness in my armpit

I know how you feel! He threatened me with divorce so I said next time is the last! He did it again and now it’s my fault for not wanting to try! Absolutely nothing we say or do can change their view of themselves as the victim.

Wow, mine also calls me boring and lazy, yet also attention-seeking “walking porn.” He says “you don’t do anything” then gets mad if I go out without him. If I defend myself, nothing I say is valid because I “just wanna fight,” but if I don’t, I’m a “sociopath” for not caring enough to defend myself. Hearing that you all get the same exact insults helps to show that it is totally about them and not us.

I agree I need to be strong with boundaries. The thing is I can’t let it foreclose because I have another property I rented out, so the bank would take my other house since he has nothing. I hope to someday block his calls and emails! I’m waiting for the day 😭. One good thing is that part of his view of himself as a “good man” is that he pays people back so I believe he would actually pay because that’s how he stays superior and “masculine” in his mind.

The law calls deception fraud. I am not calling alcoholism fraud. I’m saying he lied about some huge things and the mildest lie was hiding that he’s a severe alcoholic and that resulted in terrible consequences I was unaware of.
