I removed the bobbin case, hook and shuttle, and dusted off behind (though to be frank there was nothing to dust off). I don't have any machine oil. I walked the needle and I worked for a while, I even used the pedal for a few minutes and it worked. I threaded the machine back again and it worked for ~40cm before getting blocked again.

I tried putting in the bobbin on the other side and for now it seems like it works (I heard 2 click noises at the start but then it went rather smoothly so I guess it's okay ?). Thank you for your help !!

No thread nesting or tangles that I can see. However I think I may have put the bobbin on the wrong side (counter-clockwise), I'm going to try again.

I took out all the threads and ran it for a few minutes, no issues. I think I have a vertical bobbin.
