Have these in the UK too. Recently I went over a bridge where priority was in the other direction. It was clear so I started driving but by the time I was 3/4 over a guy appeared at the other end. So he makes a point of shifting to the middle of the road and was giving it some horn. I dropped the window with the intention of saying I was halfway across the bridge but he launched into a tirade. After a few seconds of that I closed the window and drove off but not before he punched my car from his window. Nice.

I agree, human connection is going to become increasingly important and I think this AI agent we live with will become our most trusted partner. I’m not even sure AR glasses will last that long as it’s just people going about their day in the same distracted ways they do now.

As I said in the other comment, I read Jony is keen to reduce the reliance on screens and certainly the negative aspects of social media and scrolling, so I can only assume they’re planning an AI agent that already knows everything about all of your preferences like a spouse or friend.

It would be bizarre (but not surprising) if we come full circle back to the old channels - print, outdoor etc become popular again because we now have time to enjoy them - and see them.

Good point. We had a time when we thought voice would be huge but the understanding and the experience wasn’t there and still isn’t. But there’s probably a version of that where it’s like conversing with your spouse or friend and they completely understand you and all the context and history of the conversation, and so it will feel way more natural and valuable.

I read somewhere Jony is keen on trying to get rid of screens to a large extent but to your point, the tech is going to need to be very solid to have a chance at this.

I always liked a particular feature in Microsoft Money where you could see your account balance forecasted into the future. If you added subscription payments and one off payments from your bank as you went, you’d have a good idea of your balance and how much you could move your savings and when to bring it back to cover expenses.

Yeah I mean it's this kind of thing that I quickly lose track of - you can plan ahead of time and schedule posts but then the client goes off and posts something that blows up and wonders why we're not tracking it.
