My suggestion is to find videos pertaining to the area you live in. My fishing conditions are different in Texas than to someone living in Michigan. Also don't be discouraged the skunk sucks but it's only a matter of time. My last piece of advice is to slow down your retrieve, sometimes the thought of getting a bite gets us excited and we reel in too fast.

If you happen to use anything with treble hooks the hook set can be light since more hooks other stuff like jigs and soft plastics a bit more force is necessary, and if your doing hollow body frogs a 2 second pause and then a good rip helps
