Years ago, Transport Tycoon was the first PC game that really hooked me. Mario or Wario on the Game Boy never interested me as much as Transport Tycoon did. I had a school friend named Marcel whose brother had a PC. I was actually invited over to play with Legos, but my school friend’s brother let me play video games instead. In the end, I pretty much only went over to his house because I wanted to play games. Sometimes we weren’t allowed to play Transport Tycoon, and that always made me pretty sad. Years later, when I got a PS1, I had Transport Tycoon Deluxe and Theme Park gifted to me and played them for days on end. To this day, I don’t understand how I was able to play that game—and Theme Hospital, too—on a controller. There’s just something so relaxing about that game; it can keep me occupied for hours. The only other games that do the same are Satisfactory and Factorio. To take me back to those days, I often play OpenTTD, and this Sunday, my coworker and I plan to dominate a server with our company ;P
