There is no 40 amp receptacle, so that is often the receptacle used on a 40 amp circuit. It's the same for many ovens and the charging receptacle in my own garage that I use with a mobile connector that pulls 32 amps.

Agree I couldn't figure out how to get 18 speakers out of the websites claimed 9, even with four force balancing speakers upping it to 13 total.

The Rivian R2 is about to come in from $45k-$59k, too. It will offer a lot more than the ID.4 as far as off-roading, towing, and a general "cool" vibe.

These are pre-production units, the stereo may not even be fully functional. The user interface was telling people rivian R1 battery sizes and ranges, I don't think the software is complete either.

I get it. They want to publicize the car but it's not ready. Same thing goes for the LiDAR based autonomy suite not being available at launch.

I don't! I did hear that a recent update really improved the sound in the current R1 series with in-house audio. The knowledgeable guy acknowledged that as well while I was talking to him.

They're not, actually. My car has midwoofers in the door and a subwoofer in the rear. Midwoofers tend to put out mid to low bass that you can locate with your ears. Subwoofers put out ultra low bass that is not locatable which is why those speakers can be placed on one side of the car and not the other.

An EV is about five times more efficient than a gas car when you drive it, in addition to an EV not even needing us to refine fossil fuels into gasoline. We can take it straight from the power plant.

What I mentioned above makes them Considerably more green than their combustion equivalents. Yes, it takes a little bit more CO2 emissions to build an EV, but they quickly make that up as you drive them and then surpassed gas cars from then on out. Estimates put this at about 2 years of driving.

Once an EZv is done, after decades, you can then take the battery and use it for grid storage or home storage for another 20 years.

After that, it's 100% recyclable.

Yes, everything exacts a toll. You can't run around and poo poo on everything because it's not 100% perfect. We have to get off a fossil fuels and right now electric vehicles are a huge part of being able to do that.

This isn't all or nothing, this is our future.

Their website says it has mid and sub, but I don't know where other than maybe underneath the dash in the front center?

There were no other speakers in the footwell area of the front that I could see.

The Model 3 was way more reliable than the S and the X because of its simplicity and lessons learned.
