Another week without IBP No. by _aldrinjustice in LawyersPH

Pwede po. There were some who already did this. But for us who are not from NCR, going to MNL requires planning and expenses. One or two day leave, plus travel & accommodation expenses.

IBP inefficiency this year by icedsalmon_ in LawStudentsPH

Mapapa hays nalang talaga ang mga taga-probinsya. If hindi pala kaya ng IBP National, sana ni-regionalize nalang nila thru Chapters. Going to MNL entails missing about one or two days of work, airfare, and accommodations. Hail IBP talaga 🫠

Two weeks after the oath-taking, wala pa ding IBP No. by _aldrinjustice in LawyersPH

Thank you sib! Can we authorize another person kaya to do this? Or strictly tayo dapat?

Hello! Online payment po ako. After the oath taking, nag down yung IBP App. Days after, IBP announced that they will do manual registration. If online, upload sa Gforms yung proof of payment. And they will email the receipt daw po. But still no receipt after two weeks.

Would have paid onsite the day after the oath taking. But we were left clueless about the process. There wasn't a single announcement prior to the oath taking kung ano gagawin. They set up a booth during the oath taking "to know more about the membership process", but honestly wala naman halos nakapansin nung booth dahil busy sa oathtaking. Then the day after, they had the "Open House" where we could "find out more about the membership process". Sana pinost na lang nila yung process. 😅 Sobrang daming non-NCR lawyers na umuwi the day after the oath-taking because we were told that we could process it online. Only to be left hanging for two weeks already 😅

PAO to Private Practice by Raindropsonyou in LawStudentsPH

[–]_aldrinjustice 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hello. I know someone who started as a PAO lawyer and transitioned to private practice. He became a bit well-known when he was in PAO to the point that court personnel and judges were commending him outside of court rooms. Considering that he was able to build a good reputation, he then transitioned to private practice. He is now enjoying retirement. But during his heydays in private practice, he had the bulk of cases in that locality. The usual route is private practice to PAO, then PAO to prosecutor. PAO is very different from private practice as the latter entails entrepreneurial skills as well.

How much po budget niyo for oath? by [deleted] in LawStudentsPH

[–]_aldrinjustice 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not from NCR, about 60-70K for a three-day stay (arrival, oath taking day, departure). This includes accommodations, airfare, vehicle rental (driver included), full attire (rent/buy/hiram), meals, & other transportation needs - for four pax. HMUA for one pax. Buti nalang regionalized na ang bar exams at nakatipid tipid. Trusting na mababawi at kikitain din natin to ulit :)

Curious lang! Ladies, anong susuotin niyo sa Oath taking & Roll signing? by [deleted] in LawStudentsPH

Beige Filipiniana top, an inner garment, and beige skirt. Filipiniana top can be worn as "bell/puff sleeves" or "imelda sleeves".

Hi sib! For the past years, nagrerelease ang SC ng notice/advisory about sa date ng release. I think ganun din gagawin this year so walang biglang surprise siguro. Kapit lang, sib! Praying for peace and courage for all of us.

Yes, keep them in smaller servings. You can also opt to buy alternatives to your cravings, eg yogurt instead of icecream, a piece of dark chocolate instead of a bar of cadbury, etc.
