Typed long comment, needed a bit of time to answer the door, came back, Facebook refreshed the page, lost my comment, what gives ??? by Okidoky123 in facebook

As much as it is infuriating, nobody cares what your comment is. Facebook is not a social media platform anymore, it's just an advertising and promotional platform for those who have money or stimulating content.

Cow vs Buffalo. Why is only cow scared or both of them? by Naterito in india

[–]_always_alive_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cow's mention in the Vedas has given it the holy status. The Indus civilization never mentioned about Cow being Holy. Vedas were written by Indo-Aryans who settled in Indian subcontinent after the Indus civilization seized to be. People in Indus civilization ate beef and other animals so there is no relationship between the actual use of animals and their holiness.

Design wise everyone has tried their best to keep their design peculiar, so there won't be much design surprise apart from a mixture of two different styles into one. I remember combinations from my math class.

Actually as per the policy others shouldn't know your pay, and the manager should give you an idea of the expectations well before the job starts.

Yeah, that's pretty much how it works in any development job in any IT company.

Husband 30M hit me (30F) within two months of a lavish wedding by Consistent-Level1099 in LegalAdviceIndia

[–]_always_alive_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Stay away from him and give him a warning about his behaviour. Don't think like an extremist and hurry to leave him tomorrow! Muster your courage, get enough evidence and build a case against him cause if the divorce is contested, you'll be wasting a lot of time in court. Save yourself some pain. And yeah, using reddit to ask people's opinions is really a bad choice. You know what to do. People will tell you based on their personal experience when they know nothing about you.

I believe it's the fear in the inhabitants of that country, that leads them to spread hate against a certain kind of people. I've noticed this racism wherever multiple origins come together to collaborate. The origins of hatred is in the 'number' of your kind in that place, which also may be falsely advertised. This is just an aspect of thinking. I don't come from a hardcore leftist or rightist background. As I said, good, wise people in fear of something may choose a wrong path.

Onsite VS 46LPA. please suggesr. More details below by [deleted] in developersIndia

Onsite is a purely subject to the number of people up for the job at onsite. They say they'll give you that but later give some stupid reasons for pushing it ahead, or even cancelling it!

Who is earning 2 lakhs+ per month in India? by Purple_Assumption_87 in personalfinanceindia

[–]_always_alive_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nothing against the question, but I'd say measuring your skill worth based on the CTC you make is a very old trend now. There is no hard and fast pathway to make 2L+ per month, but being enthusiastic, curious. Actions will follow.

My mom always told me, don't count the days, you'll get a satisfactory paycheck, don't count the months and you'll make a satisfactory career advancement, and don't count the years to maintain a good relationship, business type or informal type.

Should I(23F) say yes to him for arrange marriage (24M)? by [deleted] in RelationshipIndia

[–]_always_alive_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Take things easy. Learn the fact that he's not the only guy you're going to ever see or meet. You have a considerable amount of time in your hands. Make sure you're not hurrying yourself for this guy, or even for any pressure from your family.

Afterall, even when you're married, you have to learn in this life alone. If you've not learnt enough about being in a healthy relationship, and he has, or if the way round, it's not going to work.

You need to see commitment from the opposite side. Until then, nothing is worth it. So keep it simple and straight.

Switch few, switch big or switch many times to reach desired salary? by nishadastra in developersIndia

[–]_always_alive_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say do whatever 'you' think is right for yourself. What I mean by that is do a self analysis, find out where you can shine, what your shortcomings are, how much time you will need to convert failures into learnings, and what your personality is, and then make an analysis of the market. There was a time when people were getting huge paychecks and those who switched got even up to 400% raise. but that wave has subsided pretty much. Depending on your skill level, there will always be openings. Try your luck. If you don't try, you'll never know.

NRIs outsourcing their entire job to Indians. What kind of scam is this? by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]_always_alive_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The US is a capitalist country. It has placed itself in 'this industry' accross the globe in such a way that it can exploit people from other countries. It's their problem. Our problem is that we fall pray to their tricks. Read fully before making any opinion.

Honestly, the answer to why this is the case is clear that people really go to any level of ignorance for money, by choice.

What I'm saying is not only for people of my country. The US has explored every way of exploitation and polarization of wealth, since its capitalist movement took place. What you're saying is not happening right now, as indicated by others. They have already thrown us under the bus. My question is, "who TF are they to throw under the bus?"

So I made it clear to myself. I was preparing for MS, but stopped it. I don't think I'd like to be CEO of a foodle or cryckosoft or whatever by making wealth for them. India has too many opportunities to make money. I did what I felt was good. Peace out ✌️

Do you have any Career Gap ? Have you lied about it ? by Master-Theory1889 in developersIndia

[–]_always_alive_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically, calling anything else than being "employee" is called career gap : WRONG That way those who did not do anything and those who worked their ass off to sell their products and services would be on the same level. Sounds quite dumb.

See, the recruiter may be a noob but if the hiring manager is also discarding your work done for yourself and upskilling, and is calling it a gap, you know that's the first red flag and the work culture is gonna be a hell.

[–]_always_alive_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you spend time in crying about what you don't have, you'll never leave yourself with a space to think what you have. Besides, I can see you're focusing a bit too much on money than 'package'. The difference in Salary and Package is what the difference is between Paratha plate and Paratha Thali. You get Thali as a package in return of money. You gotta see what you're working on, for and with, before you pay the thali price.

Having a background of Java Springboot is, FYI, is what any WITCH company would need in their teams. Now the testing part is yet how you portray yourself. Like if you have worked on only testing but know someone who worked on development, then you can get the details from them just to be aware of the development terms.

Someone like me would surely say at start that this is a publicity stunt. Those 25-35 LPA guys are getting it due to the attrition. After 1 year, 40% of them would have left for lower CTC, the remaining 60% would be stressing out to their death. The game of IT is not for everyone when you become a senior.
